Alpha Amal's POV.

He watched as Sam rushed to her room and wondered what was wrong. Perhaps he was imagining things, but had she not been the one in a good mood in the car before they made the drive home? She had been beaming after River had made his grand apology, and there had been a certain shine to her eyes.

Now all that was gone and had been replaced with a frown and an attitude, and he had no idea what was wrong. He grabbed the bouquet of flowers he had gotten for her and climbed up the stairs, heading to his room to write the note for her. He was supposed to have done that at the florist, but the sun had popped up from behind a cloud, and he was worried that Sam would get sunburnt.
