Stephanie POV

Was he going to hurt me?

My voice was shaking but I braced myself up. I wasn't only shaking because I was afraid he wouldn't forgive me, but also, the fact that I could hear each beat of his chest loudly in my ears.

Aside from Alpha Gregory, no other man was in my life.

Silence engulfed the room as his grip loosen slightly and I immediately stood up. I wanted to be far away, pleading for forgiveness. I swallowed hard at his piercing gaze which rested wholly on my chest.

What a pervert!

A sly smile danced around his luscious lips while still holding me ransom with his breathtaking gaze.

Snap out of it, Stephanie!

Even if he was my mate, this man was said to have a fierce temper. All Lycans seemed to have fierce anger but there was something scary about this particular set of Lycans, especially my mate.

I was still trying to sort out the situation when his next words made me surge with anger. Fuck his arrogance!

"Are you trying to seduce me?" His voice was laced with s

Gregory's POV"Are you certain you're not making all these up?" I asked, eyes narrowed at the old sorceress who sat cross-legged on the woven mat like she was about to spill bedtime tales instead of death sentences."You’re saying my mate is mated to someone else? Do you know how insane that sounds?"The sorceress snapped her head in my direction, her eyes glowing like fireflies caught in twilight. She stood up slowly, robes rustling, she smelled of herbs and the closer she came to me, the more the urge to vomit became stronger."I don’t need to sit here and take insults from a reckless Alpha who can’t read the signs of impending danger.”"How can you? When you're the cause of everything that is happening? Get out, take your dying mate and your arrogance with you. I’ve got more important things to do."I stiffened as my fists clenched. My wolf was scratching to be let out, growling at the insult, but before I could open my mouth, my beta stepped in.“Please," he said, stepping betwe

  • Once Rejected, Twice Mated   Another Mate?

Gregory's POV I don't remember the last time I ran this fast.My wolf was on edge, pacing inside me like a caged animal as I carried Stephanie in my arms, her body limp against mine. Her breathing was shallow, her fur matted with sweat, and her shift back to human form had left her completely drained. My heart thudded violently in my chest as I reached the pack house, yelling for help before my feet even hit the front steps. The physicians were already rushing out, alerted by our link.“She passed out during a shift?” one of them asked, already pulling out instruments, gauging her pulse as I tried to answer all their questions.“She’s burning up. Her heart rate is irregular,” another muttered as they wheeled her into a stretcher.I couldn’t let her go. Not like this. Not when I had just started trying to fix the mess I made.“Alpha, you need to let go,” one of the nurses said gently.“No.” M

  • Once Rejected, Twice Mated   I Couldn't Lose Her Again

Gregory's POV I’ve always prided myself on being in control of my emotions but lately, ever since the seeker died in my arms with those haunting words on his tongue, control had become a distant concept."She is... she is not who you think," the old man had wheezed, blood dripping from his cracked lips with a smirk in his lips. His eyes had rolled back before he could say more. Not who I think? What the hell did that mean?Every time I looked at Stephanie, that line echoed louder and I felt more stupid. The woman I once threw out. The same one who now bore another man's mark, etched into her skin like a curse neither of us could undo. I hated that mark, I hated how it glowed faintly sometimes when she was asleep beside me, as if mocking me and reminding me that someone else had claimed her before me because of my foolishness. And yet I still wanted her.The thoughts I had were wrong. Lust, suspicion,

  • Once Rejected, Twice Mated   Just Like That?

Stephanie's POV I never believed the saying that change was the most constant thing in life until I witnessed it firsthand. If someone had told me a month ago that I would walk freely through this pack without getting stares or hushed whispers behind my back, I would have probably cursed at them because the pack members made my life a living hell. But things were beginning to change, slowly. The glances I received now were no longer full of disdain or suspicion, rather they were respectful, even warm. It was a strange feeling. One I hadn’t yet grown used to.Still, the mark on my neck hadn’t faded. If anything, it had gotten worse. The itch burned deep into my skin. Gregory had said we would go to the sorcerer soon, but he had been so busy these past few days. Always in meetings, always on calls and every time I looked at him, there was tension in his jaw, like he was carrying the weight of the world on his

  • Once Rejected, Twice Mated   We Fight To Fix It

Gregory's POV Marcus. — The name stinged me like a plague. If anyone had told me he would betray me like this, I would have laughed in their face.He was my brother in every way that mattered, not just my Gamma and I trusted him with my life and yet, all this time, he was feeding our enemies information and feeding me lies. The feast in our honor should have felt like a triumph. The air was thick with roasted meat and spiced wine, the laughter of pack members echoing across the pack house.Children danced in circles while warriors patted each other’s backs and swapped stories of battle. But none of it settled in my chest the way it used to.Because now I knew the truth and worse.I couldn't stop staring at her because I felt foolish. I told her I was going to help her get rid of the mark that kept itching her.Suddenly, my mind went to Marcus again. Part of this was all because of him, he had given A

  • Once Rejected, Twice Mated   That Was All I Needed

Gregory’s POVThe silence between us was loud, too loud that I wanted to break but I didn't know how to go about it. For the past ten minutes she had been speaking to me but I always ignored her. She was definitely going to return the favor without a second thought. Taking my gaze off the road momentarily, I saw her staring out of the window, her fists clenched on her thigh same as her jaw which was clenched. She was deep in thought. No doubt there was a war waging in her mind and right now, I wasn't a part of it as she had shut me off completely. If only I had answered her questions, this wouldn't be happening. I was slowly going insane with her silence. Once again, I took my gaze back to the road, her blank stare neatly stamped in my head making it seem like she was desperately trying to hide something. Taking a deep breath, I shook off the old seekers words from my head as there was no point dwelling o
