CHAPTER 35.Eva's POV. I fell on my butt, totally shocked by the sudden turn of events. I could hardly move my body or bat an eyelid. My eyes were just fixated on the bursted shelf and the shattered window, never in my life have I exhibited such powers before. I shifted only twice since I had gotten my wolf and it had been painful and difficult to even catch a feed or hurt a fly but right now it was different. It felt like something had awakened in me. It was dead and unseen but I could feel it now. What was this strange feeling?. "What…have I…done?" I stuttered as tears trickled down my cheeks. I raised up my hands and stared at them. These hands hardly defended me from those evil people, or hardly helped even when I tried fighting back, then what altered?. I recalled the reflection of my shining eyes and it made me quiver in fear of what I had become or the strange force that overwhelmed me. I touched my wet eyes and more tears rolled down my cheeks. I didn't understand any
CHAPTER 36.Eva's POV. "Eva!" I heard from the door. Yolanda and I turned to the door and saw Beta Kyle who just interrupted our conversation. I didn't even get the full name of the person who Alpha Seth was talking to. That information was really crucial and it could be helpful, I wouldn't let this chance pass me by. "Good morning sir, Eva" Beta Kyle greeted and approached us. He always chose the worst moments to interrupt, goodness he's pretty annoying at times. "Did I interrupt anything?" Beta Kyle asked and stared at both of us. We were both glaring at him. "Yolanda, who was he talking to?" I asked, ignoring Beta Kyle's presence. "He was talking to–" "Pause!" Beta Kyle interrupted again and I had the urge to punch him in the face to keep his loud mouth shut. "Are you both talking about me or someone else?" Beta Kyle inquired and rubbed his palms together. He sat down on my bed and stared at both of us. My face palmed. "Don't mind him, tell me who he was speaking to" I
CHAPTER 40. Eva's POV. I was more elated to see him here, he was here to save me or rescue me and probably use me. I wasn't sure his purpose for finding me but whatever it was, I was still happy to see him; I should be angry and unhappy but the opposite was the case.I had every reason to detest him for what he told Alpha Seth but I guess my feelings for him are too strong. I get too attached to people and that's why he was able to fool me all this while. He knew I needed love and affection and that he used this for his own benefit, I thought he was different. I thought my mate was different. Alpha Trent stared at me and I saw those same affection in his eyes, it had this softness in his eyes that no one ever had for me. It seemed so sincere but I was doubtful;my heart was full of questions for him. His eyes diverted to Alpha Seth and they turned angry and darkened. "How dare you do this to her?" Alpha Trent yelled. "Have you forgotten that it was a mere slave who injured me
CHAPTER 37.Eva's POV. I didn't know what was happening to me but I felt so stiff. My body seemed totally paralyzed but I could still hear voices and feel myself being carried around. I was so confused and frustrated by my present helplessness, I couldn't move my body at all and it made me cry inwardly. The more I fought out of the darkness, the more I felt faded. My eyelids were like they had been glued and my limbs weren't responding. None of the parts of my body were responding to my commands. The voices ceased for a while and I completely blanked out. …. My eyelids slowly opened and I swallowed the thick saliva that formed in my mouth.I tried to turn my body but it was still stiff, my dry, sticky eyes caught a glimpse of the ropes tied around my body. "No" I gasped and licked my dry lips. I tried struggling with ropes but the shards of the ropes were piercing my skin. It was so hurtful. "Ahh" I cried out softly. Warm tears slid from the side of my eyes. Each part of
CHAPTER 38.Eva's POV. I struggled to escape as far as I could. I was limping at first but slowly I felt my wounds healing. I refused to look back as I kept running deeper and deeper into the forest. I looked around the forest and I had no idea where I was. It was an unfamiliar area and it confused me greatly because the trees were of the same height and there was hardly any difference in the areas as I ran. Where I was running to that I couldn't tell but I had to run away from them, all of them. I raced barefooted, the cracks of the dry leaves could be heard under my feet and the sharp stones that cut through my flesh but I wasn't bothered about it. My only concern was to escape and maybe have Alpha Trent find me through my scent. My eyes were becoming sore red as the cold breeze penetrated into them but my determination kept me going. My determination to stay alive and be with Alpha Trent forever. I was to be with him for the rest of my life and no one would put a stop to it.
CHAPTER 39.Eva's POV. All my efforts of escaping had all been in vain. The running and almost drowning strategy were all futile because I still got caught. I got captured again and a worse punishment awaited me, a punishment that might kill me. I was swinging side to side on the shoulder of one of his men. I had been injected with another substance but this one didn't seem as effective as the last one. My hands were tied to each other and my legs too. My mouth was gagged, so only muffled sobs could escape my lips. My teeth were eating it involuntarily as it restrained my tongue. "Let's stop" Alpha Seth ordered and they all stopped moving. "Stop the little brat down" Alpha Seth ordered and the one who was carrying me, threw me off his shoulder. I landed painfully on the floor and tears gushed out of my eyes. Alpha Seth gave me a lopsided smirk and bent beside me, he trailed his fingers on my face then to my breasts. He cupped one of them in his hand and squeezed it harshly.
CHAPTER 41.Eva's POV. He fell on me and we both dropped to the floor. "Alpha Trent wake up" I cried loudly. I checked his face and he had passed out already. "Waka up please" I sobbed loudly. Tears of regret and hurt escaped my eyes. I looked up and saw the person who shot the arrow, he stretched the bow to shoot the arrow at me. "Arg!" I groaned as I moved from the position I was in. The arrow met the ground and my eyes darkened with so much anger directed at the person on the tree. It was actually one of Alpha Seth's thugs who Alpha Trent wasn't able to kill before. I had never felt such rage in my entire life. It was like a volcano had erupted in my heart; it was this kind of vengeful anger that I had never felt in my life. I stared at Alpha Trent again and anger burned in me. I looked up again and growled. I left Alpha Trent and ran towards the tree, the thug climbed down the tree and ran. I sobbed and returned back to Alpha Trent. He was losing blood and the wolfsbane
CHAPTER 42. Eva's POV. "Is it that bad?We need more details, Romeo," Beta Kyle inquired in a worried tone. Doctor Romeo let out a deep sigh. "The Alpha has wolfsbane poison in his blood and we are trying to prevent it from reaching his heart. The problem is it took a little too long before he was brought here and that complicated things and worse he also lost a lot of blood" Doctor Romeo explained. His explanation was really scary but it was a bitter truth that I had to accept. Alpha Trent was not in a good condition, he was suffering and I was to blame for all his pain. It would always be my fault no matter how much anyone tried convincing me otherwise. "And there is something crucial that has to be carried out as soon as possible and that's a blood transfusion, the blood type of Alpha Trent is a rare one. It is not available in the blood bank" Doctor Romeo added. "W–what blood type is he?" I questioned with a raspy voice and Beta Kyle told me his blood group. "Check my bloo
