Iris pov.
My best friend was fucking my fiancee in reverse cowgirl position.
That was the scene my eyes caught first, as I peered through the open space before me. They had forgotten to shut the door properly in the heat of the moment.
“Oh, yes!!!!” Lena moaned out loud for my man.
“You are my slut baby.” Mike said to her. “Fuck me like I'm your master.”
She got off him and positioned herself in doggy style, as she muttered. “Yes daddy.”
Mike had lust written all over his face, I knew that look. Without even thinking of me, they began another round of pleasure.
It felt like I was stuck to the ground, I could not move my legs or my eyes. This could not be happening, it was barely two months to our wedding. Something snapped inside me pulling me back to reality, to the disgusting scene I was watching. A tear escaped my eyes as I turned around, clutching my chest. The pain was too much for me and with every step I took in the opposite direction of his house, it grew worse.
I booked a ride to my house and cried all the way. The driver looked worried but did not ask any questions, I was thankful on the inside for that.
When I got home, I quickly wiped my eyes because there was someone in my house. I could tell from the footwear at the entrance.
“What are you doing here mom?” I asked in surprise, when I saw my mother.
My voice was a bit shaky from all that crying but I struggled to steady it.
She looked at me for a while. “I wanted to drop off some side dishes for you.”
“Oh.”
“Are you okay?” She asked as she looked at my face closely. “Your makeup looks smudged, you should reapply setting powder.”
I forced a loud laugh. “Alright, my makeup artist. I am on it.”
After dropping the bags I was holding on the floor, I got my setting powder from my purse and began to reapply it.
“Iris?” My mom called out.
Did she catch on? “Yes mom.”
“Weren't you supposed to drop those off at Mike's?” She asked, pointing to the bags I dropped.
My heart skipped three beats, I could not afford to let her know what was going on.
“Uhmm, he said he will be working late today. I'll give it to him tomorrow.” I lied.
“That is fine, tell him not to stress too much.” She said. “ Where are you coming from with them, then? You left my house a couple of hours ago, but you're just getting to your place now.”
“I stopped over at a friend's.” The lies were coming out more freely now.
“Baby girl, you should pay more attention to your man, not your friends.” My mother started. “Remember you are getting married soon.”
“Yes Madam.” I smiled at her. “Can you leave my house now? I need some privacy.”
“Are you sure you are okay baby?” She asked again.
Whoever said it, was right. Mothers always knew when something was up.
“I'm fine mom, it's just that I am having a bad headache.”
“If it gets too serious, see a doctor. You can come by the house whenever you want.” She looked at me with concern in her eyes. “Don't stress so much about the wedding, everything will be fine.”
“Okay mom, byee.”
“Bye baby.” She said as she blew me a kiss, before leaving.
Immediately the door got closed, my eyes let go of all the tears they were trying to contain.
“How could he do this to me?” I mumbled in between sobs. “Fuck him! How could Lena betray me so easily?”
She was going to be my chief bridesmaid. I told her everything, all my troubles and issues with Mike. Maybe I shared too much, but aren't best friends supposed to do that?
Almost instinctively, I took out all the gifts Mike and Lena had gotten me, from the bags, clothes, down to shoes and moved them to the incinerator in my building.
As I threw the last pair of heels into the incinerator, something flashed in my eyes. It was the engagement ring on my finger.
The anger that surged through me was undescribable, if there was one thing I was certain about. It's the fact that I was going to take revenge on them but for now, I'll play along with their little game.
“What are you doing down here, Iris?” The nextdoor unit owner, who is my neighbor asked.
He had come down to dispose waste.
“Nothing Ed, just burning some stuffs I don't need anymore.” I smiled as I walked past him, back into the building.
I could feel his eyes on me, but I did not care one bit.
Once I entered my unit, I played “Rehab by Rihanna” on loudspeakers as I got into the bathtub to soak for a while.
“ I'll never give myself to another the way I gave me to you, don't even recognize the way you hit me to you. It's gonna take a miracle to bring me back, another one to blame. Cus now I feel like…” I sang out loud in a loud voice.
Tears were streaming down my eyes, but the determination to make them pay was getting stronger too.
My phone rang out, cutting through my thoughts. As I reached out to pick it, I saw the caller and hissed. It was my supposed best friend.
“Hey boo, it's Friday. What do you think about hanging out?” Her sweet voice purred over the phone.
‘Was that what Mike fell for?’ I wondered. ‘A few hours ago I will be thrilled and say I wanted to hang out with her, but now….”
“I don't feel so good, Lena. Can we do this some other time?” My voice was flat.
“What about Mike? Have you forgotten we were supposed to go out together?”
If only she could see me right now, my face turned red with anger when she asked that question. I heard Mike call out for her in the background, but she hushed him.
“Who was that?” I asked, ignoring her own question. “I heard a man's voice.”
Part of me was expecting she'll come out clean, the other part was certain she was going to lie.
“It's the plumber, he's fixing my clogged toilet.” She lied through her teeth.
“Alright, have fun.” I ended the call.
Whatever doubt I was having about my little revenge plan, flew out the window. As I stepped out of the bathtub, one thing was certain.
I WAS GOING TO RUIN THEIR LIVES.
For now, I just needed to get high and it had to be at a club.
This good girl was going bad.
Iris pov.It all happened so fast, before I could say another word I was on the bed. I held on tightly to Vince, before relaxing when I noticed I was not in danger. His eyes staring directly at me, was the first view that hit me when I opened my eyes.“What are you doing?” I half screamed, pushing him away from my body.“I think you stole my line.” He said, not giving two fucks about how I felt in that moment as he raised his body up. “You wanted to be sure you were in the room, so I put you on the bed.”“That's a rather crazy way of putting it.” I told him, but the pain on my thighs hit me hard again causing me to wince.“Are you okay?” Vince asked, rushing back to me.I looked at him dazed for a minute, this was the same man who acted like I was invisible during the drill and teased me when I was tired. “Can you stick to one side please?” I begged him, with my hands together. He cleared his throat and stood up. “What do you mean by that statement.”“There! You're cold again, why ca
Vince's pov.As I raised my body up from the floor while finishing the last push up, I was tempted to laugh out loud as I cast a glance at Iris side. One look at my men and I got myself in check. Phil was trying his best to support her to get up, but it was futile.“You are dismissed.” I told the men, before turning to the duo behind me.“Let her stand by herself, she wanted to be here.” I told Phil, before reaching out to get water from the refrigerator in the gym. “She came on her own free will.”“Boss, I don't think she can stand by herself.” Phil said pitifully looking at her. “Besides, it's her first time. Most of the men fainted the first day we started this drills.”“Fair enough.” I gulped down the water, but almost choked when I felt her eyes on me. “What?”“Wat…. Er….. Wa… ter.” She called out weakly.“Get yours if you want it, this is all mine.” I said, drinking the remaining water in the container without sparing her a glance. My right hand man was watching me, like I was t
Iris pov.“He's waiting for you upstairs.” They chorused again. It felt like this must have been rehearsed, judging by the way it was said in unison. I smiled, trying not to feel awkward as I made my way up upstairs. If he was upstairs, the only place I could think of was his bedroom. I knocked and waited for a second, before I heard his voice.“Come in.” It was deep and relaxed. The smile on my face was replaced with lust, when I saw how good he looked. He had his gym wear on and it was showing off all the right amount of muscles and skin.“Close the door, then close your mouth, will you?” There was a smirk on his face, when he said it. “I'm sorry.” I spurted out, feeling embarrassed as I locked the door and tried to gather my emotions before facing him.It was a complete waste of time, as my cheeks were already red when I looked at him again.“Where are you going to?” I managed to ask, after letting my eyes get a good fill of the man in front of me.“Evening drill.” He replied with
Iris pov.“Why do you I feel like you have an ulterior motive for this?” I asked him, feeling a bit waryof how fast he was responding to me.“What do you mean?”“You did not even think before giving me answers to all the questions I asked.”“You told me not to think.” He reminded me.Oh shit! That was right. I was only shooting myself in the leg by dragging this.“I had no idea you would listen to me, that's a change.” Shifting his focus elsewhere would be better now.“I answered your questions, so what are you going to do about it now? You said you were coming over.” Vince was not buying it. “When are you getting here?”“Why are you being impatient?” I looked at the wall clock in my room, where I was trying to get away from Mike being all over my mom and helping her. Talk about being a fake, caring son in law. “There's still time, it's not even seven yet.”“Your safety is important.”That made my heart warm up immediately, I could swear I was feeling butterflies. This man was making
Vince's povAs the sound of her heels running in the hallway got to my ears, I smiled in satisfaction.I did not like it, but it was good to know I still had that touch to me.I picked up my phone and called Phil.“Hello boss.” His voice sounded over the phone.“Make the necessary arrangements, we m
The door shut behind me with a quiet click, sealing away the man’s muffled groans and the scent of blood that was in the air. I rolled my sleeves down slowly, as I nodded at Phil who looked like he has something to say.“She left.” Phil said from where he stood.I glanced at him briefly. “I know.”
Iris pov.I did not believe him at first.Even as the words left his mouth, I stood there in my office, staring at him like he had just told me the most ridiculous joke.“I am a mafia boss.” Vince said calmly, like he was telling me his job title was manager or director.I blinked. “That is not funn
Vince's pov.I look straight ahead as I watched Iris get into her house, trying to steady my expression. The Luciano I know does not move around just for fun, there must be a reason behind this. I have to find out what it is.As soon as I got to my house, I quickly went to my room to take a warm sh
