CHAPTER 7

"Hello." The women from the other side spoke.

"I am sorry Mark.... I left you that night alone..... I know it was your birthday but....."

"It's fine.... Now you came back I am happy with that..."

Yes...It was Susan on the call. She left him but today she called him and to apologize to him. Mark was happy to have her back.

"I have something to tell you..." Susan explained.

"I am all ears."

"That night I went back because I needed to be somewhere else."

"Where?" Mark questioned.

"With the one whom I love. I love someone and he needed me."

This statement of Susan made Mark furious.

"How dare you?"

"Mark listen......." Susan's word were interuppted.

"I loved you. But what you did was not good. What do you think of yourself? You are not the only one. I can have any girl I want. I wanted to marry because my parents wanted me to get married, but now I won't even look at you."

Mark disconnected the call. In frustation he started to smoke.

Mark was standing still there. In desperation to forget the hurtful memories, he had smoked uncountable ciggrettes. There were ashes of it all over his shoes. When all the ciggrettes were finished, he remembered about Anna. He turned around to go inside but to his surprise he found her sitting on the bench nearby.

She was sitting there silently putting her head on above her knees. Mark hurriedly came forward in front of her.

"Do you feel better now?"He questioned her with a serious look on his face and having a concern in his voice.

She raised her head slowly and nodded in positive response.

Mark again asked "If you want to go somewhere you can tell me. I will drop you off."

But she refused and again sat like before. What would she say to him that now she does'nt have a place to stay, her own family members have disowned her. She herself don't know what she will do now or where she will go, so what will she tell him. Mark also upon seeing her condition thought that due to her being away all night long and later seeing her body marks, her family members may have thrown her away from house in anger. Anna did'nt answer anything and Mark himself was so depressed that he did'nt force her to answer.

"Okay. I take my leave now. Take care of yourself." Mark said as he moved back.

Suddenly Anna grabbed his hand as he had turned to leave.

"Stop!"

"Do you need any help?"

She stood up and came close to him.

"Will you marry me?" Anna asked him looking staright into his eyes.

"Are you out of your mind. I cleared it yesterday morning only that I don't want all these troubles in my life. I can't marry you just because of what we did."

"I can only help you with money. I'll give you as much money as you want." Mark said as he freed his hand from Anna and started to get back in the car.

"I listened to everything you said on the phone." She said.

Anna had only listened to what Mark said without knowing to whom he was talking to. But she clearly understood that Mark was alsoba victim of being cheated by someone and also in trouble.

"I know this time you need a girl with whom you can get married and make your parents happy. And if you don't marry me then many people start gossiping around about you."

Listening to her Mark stopped at the spot.

Mark grabbed her twisting her hand. She could feel his warm breaths near her neck.

"So are you trying to blackmail me?" Mark questioned.

"I will marry you. In return, you will help me by all means to get back my property and house. Do you accept the agreement?" Anna said.

Anna was too small when her mother died. Her father had married again to her stepmother but when Nina was born Anna became deprived of both her father and mother love. Nina was always favoured. She was the one who was pampered. Anna always cried for her mother but she knew she had her father and grandpa by her side. Anna went on to continue to her studies so that she can join her father in his bussiness. But few years back when her father also died she knew that she had to face everything alone. She left everything in her grandpa's hand. This the reason she does not know anything or anyone in bussiness world. But seeing his behaviour and dressing she knew he is from wealthy family and also he holds a strong position in bussiness world.

"And why do you have this misunderstanding Miss that I will marry you?"

"First leave my hand. It's hurting."

Mark let go off her from his grip.

"To be honest, I don't have anything to offer you for this agreement in exchange of your help. But, I think that if you need a better life partner in short time then I am the best option."

"I am still not convinced."Mark said.

"You also know that you were the one who took away my virginity. Where you will find a girl like me specially when your gf is with someone else....."

"You are right....There are very less women who would force someone like this to marry them."

"Don't try to judge me...... Like you have your own problem......I also have. Besides, I do not have any other option. So decide it wisely."

Mark looked at her like he was scanning her. He smiled. There was nothing wrong with the deal as he thought.

"Okay. I am ready to marry you. You will have all the rights a women have over her husband. But...."

"But what?"

"But I will never be able to love you."

"You need a girl whom you can marry and then make her meet your family and I want my property and bussiness back. I don't expect anything."

She smiled as she said.
