"Everyone who have wronged you, I promise to deal with them,just stay with me, please," he said in an hushed voice before he left the room.

Next morning, Layla woke up feeling quite refreshed. This was the first time in years she had a good night sleep. She woke up feeling really radiated. It was obvious she was in a good mood with the way she hummed and danced round her room.

Her day was destined to turn sour as she received a call from her father. She hissed as she ignored the call,she didn't want anything to do with that family.

Her father called for a while before the call got disconnected. She glanced at her phone with disgust as though it was Arthur she was staring at.

She did her morning routine and decided to head downstairs. She wanted to have breakfast as she was starving.

"Good morning grandpa,I hope you had a good night rest?" She asked with a bright look and grandpa Brooks felt more energized seeing her.

"I had a wonderful night rest, thanks for asking," he sai
