My eyes shifted toward the passenger side window.

Vera stood outside my car, knocking on the glass without stopping. One hand rested on her waist while the other kept hitting the window. The fire in her expression told me she wasn't leaving anytime soon.

I pressed the button and the window rolled down.

"What is it?" I asked, keeping my voice flat.

"Unlock the door, Liam." She folded her arms across her chest. "Unless you want me to make a scene out here."
