House Warming

As soon as my daughters release me, Micah helps me up, sweeping me into his arms and pulling me into a kiss. The girls both start to giggle and I can feel my face growing red with embarrassment knowing that everyone's eyes are on us.

"You are not going to distract me that easily, Mr. McKaine," I admonish him as he releases me. "I asked you a question."

"Well, Charlotte," he begins nervously, not sure how I'm going to react. "I brought our family to their new home."

"I see, even though I hadn't said anything yet about wanting to move in?" I mention although I might as well have been talking to a wall with all the good it did me.

"Everything has already been moved. The girls even picked out their rooms, one for toys and one to sleep in," he grins. "They insisted on sleeping together in the same bed."

That sounds like my girls. Stubborn, just like me.
