I don’t see him for four days and he evolves from cold to a full-on mind reader.

Christian is sipping tea from the little cup in his hands, and the way he holds that fragile porcelain cup and brings it to the line of his mouth makes me want to just stare at him, but I can’t stare at him because I’m currently in a state of panic, and he’s the reason.

“The store manager is really mean, Christian.”

I try to infuse a joking tone into my words, hoping that the sound of it would make him smile, because I know that when he smiles I can tease him, and if I can tease him… I can get my way.

The thought of that makes an actual smile light up on my face because I would never have thought one day I would be plotting to weasel myself into getting my way with Christian Storm.
