Chapter 1

Annabelle.

A luxurious hotel room. A tall, muscular, and attractive stranger. A passionate kiss that melted away my senses as I surrendered myself to the tempting pleasure of my first-ever one-night stand.

The hotel room door closed behind us with a loud slamming sound, and then I felt my back being pressed against the cold wall as a very tall and muscular man trapped me between his large frame and the wall behind me. I looked up into his face, and I had to admit that he was definitely my type. Tall, muscular, dark hair, and intense gray eyes. I couldn't have dreamed before this moment that I could spend a passionate night with a man like him.

I did not have much time to admire his attractive features before his hungry lips crushed down onto mine, firmly capturing my lips in an extremely devouring and passionate kiss. I moaned without restraint from the pleasure of feeling his mouth against mine as his tongue slowly slipped between my lips, requesting entry into the hot, wet depths of my mouth. My lips parted invitingly as if they had a mind of their own to welcome him; the man thrust his tongue deftly into my mouth.

The heat and taste of his kiss filled my mouth as he groaned softly, and our tongues mingled and ground against each other's. I began kissing him back with wild abandon as if I couldn't get enough of him. I'd never felt such an intense need before in my life, and I was slightly shocked at how much I wanted the stranger standing in front of me. I ran my fingers through his soft dark hair as I kissed him even deeper than before, our tongues dancing in a fervent passionate dance.

He's an amazing kisser…

I had no idea that kissing could feel this good and turn me on this much. I could feel my body heating up as a throbbing ache pulsated between my thighs. He had just started kissing me, but it already felt like my entire body was ready to melt in his embrace.

I kissed him back hungrily as if I was dying to quench my thirst after wandering aimlessly in a desert for far too long. His body was much taller and larger than mine; even taking into account the heels that I had on, I barely reached his shoulders. His larger frame trapped me between him and the wall as he pressed his hips against mine. I could feel the distinct hard outline of his arousal pressing against my belly as we continued to share our heated kiss. He sucked on my lower lips before nibbling on them seductively, while at the same time his large manly hands began stroking my waist before dipping down to caress the side of my hips.

I was a panting mess when he finally broke our kiss, and my lips felt so swollen from his passionate attack. My core throbbed intensely with my need for him, and my entire body felt like it was on fire as desire swelled in my lower belly.

I stared into his stunning gray eyes that were framed with long and thick dark lashes as they stared intensely into my own.

Such mesmerizing eyes…

I was so drawn into his attractive and sexy gaze that it felt like I was drowning in a whirlpool. He seemed dangerous, but I was too tempted by his charm to the point where I was willing to ignore that sense of danger. He suddenly buried his face into the side of my neck before planting kisses against my sensitive skin. I cried out loudly at the pleasure of his lips kissing and then sucking softly on the side of my neck. Lewd sucking sounds echoed close to my ears and made me moan ecstatically.

It's beyond believable that a man that I had just met less than half an hour ago could bring me to such heights of pleasure like this.

His large hands roved around my body, teasing the sides of my hips before slowly sliding upwards until he cupped both of my breasts in his hands.

“Ahh...” I moaned from pure bliss.

For the life of me, I couldn't hold in my moans of pleasure, and it felt like there was no need for me to.

**Earlier in the day**

It's not every day that you can see your ex-fiancé marrying your best friend. I quickly figured out after leaving their wedding that the best revenge was for me to have the time of my life.

“You may now kiss the bride.”

I watched as my ex-fiancé of exactly seven days sweep back the lace veil of his bride to reveal the smiling face of my best friend before bending down to place a sweet kiss on her pink lips.

Some moments were supposed to be bittersweet; however, I found the moment purely bitter without a hint of sweetness. All the way from the start to the end of their kiss, I felt anger boiling up inside of me as I tried to keep a calm and collected face. I clapped my hands naturally as I tried my best to smile and laugh along with the other people in the crowd, while a part of me shriveled up and died a silent death on the inside.

That day my best friend married my ex-fiancé and marked a bright start to their future while at the same time, putting an end to years of friendship and love that I shared with the two of them ever since we first met during our first days at university.

I wanted to believe that I was a forgiving and kind person and that one day in the future I might look back on this moment and find it in me to wish them well. The pain that tore at my heart and the hatred that swirled in my belly told me that that day would not come anytime soon.

I found out that Sam, my fiancé, had been cheating on me with my best friend for what seemed like a very long time.

The two people that I loved most in my life apart from my dear mother had betrayed me so publicly and without any hesitation.
