“Gia, talk to me.” Doctor Stone carefully helped her to sit down on the couch.

She looked at her hands for a long time. It was becoming clear she was allowing pain from the past to reflect on her face.

“I once was a different person.” She said softly.

“What do you mean?”

Gia slowly looked up into his face. She smiled softly.

“Do you have kids?”

“A daughter. She is twenty-three years old.” Doctor Stone answered honestly.

“Gia I only need to get a pen to sign you out of this hospital. Just say the word.”
