Chapter 96

After the weekend trip, Cersei and Aaron returned. Aaron offered to drop Cersei off at her apartment before heading to the office. As they drove, they talked about their wonderful trip and reminisced about the beautiful memories they had created.

Suddenly, Aaron's phone rang, and he looked at it with a frown. "I'm sorry, Cersei," he said apologetically. "I have to take this. It's an emergency at the office."

Cersei nodded understandingly as Aaron took the call, his attention fully focused on the person on the other end of the line. As he drove, Cersei stared out the window, lost in thought.

Finally, they reached her apartment, and Aaron pulled over. "I'm sorry about this, Cersei," he said. "I'll make it up to you, I promise."

Cersei smiled and leaned over to give him a quick kiss. "Don't worry about it, Aaron," she said. "Just take care of business. I'll see you soon."
