Christian's POV

The nerve of the woman.

She stood there in the most classy manner I had ever seen a woman stand, stretching her hands towards my father like she was just meeting him for the first time in her life.

Too bold for someone who was sleeping with a married man almost twice her age. The whole situation was quite ridiculous.

My father on the other hand was too stunned to speak. We all pretended not to watch him but watched Jessie instead and my mother was the most natural of all of us. She introduced them like she knew nothing about them.

Finally, my father took her hands after what passed for ages. "You are the one responsible for all this wonder, you've done a really good job miss?...."

"Jessie." She replied and I almost burst into laughter. They were trying so hard, really hard.

"Jessie. This is my son, it's his birthday today." My father continued after releasing her hand.
