.

"Keep your mouth shut," the man with the neck tattoo growled, his hand heavy over her lips.

Mia’s head spun from the alcohol, but fear surged through her veins, sharp and terrifying. She thrashed against his grip, kicking out wildly, but her heels slipped. The second man stepped in, grabbing her wrists to pin them down, grinning as he reached for her coat button.

" We're going to have a fun night. Don't you think ". He grinned.

His hands grabbed her boobs, and then he squeeze it so hard that it made Mia to groan.

" Hahaha! Just look at you. We're just getting started ". He grinned lustfully.

Mia body trembled.

" please.. Please stop ". I begged

"Hey!"

A sharp, authoritative voice cut through the noise of the downpour.

Before either man could react, a figure stepped into the dim light of the alleyway. High, broad shoulders framed in a dark tailored trench coat loomed over them. Julian Vance didn't look like a savior; he looked like a shadow carved out of stone.

"Get your hands off her," Julian said, his voice terrifyingly quiet, carrying a lethal weight that made the alley feel instantly smaller.

The man holding Mia’s arms sneered, stepping away from her to confront the intruder. "Mind your own business, pal, unless you want—"

Julian didn't wait for him to finish. With a fluid, brutal precision, he stepped forward, grabbed the man’s jacket, and slammed him sideways into the massive dumpster. The man slumped to the ground with a groaned breath.

" Who are you ". The tall one asked but julian completely ignored him.

The tall one with the neck tattoo released Mia so fast she nearly collapsed into the puddles. He backed away, hands up, taking one look at the icy, furious stare in Julian’s eyes before turning and sprinting down the dark alley toward the main road. His buddy scrambled up from the pavement and scrambled after him.

" Please wait for me".

The alley went silent, save for the heavy patter of rain and Mia’s ragged breathing.

Julian turned slowly.

His amber eyes swept over Mia—her disheveled hair, her torn sleeve, her trembling lips. Something raw and dangerous flashed across his face before he masked it with absolute control.

"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice dropping an octave as he stepped closer.

Mia tried to speak, but her body betrayed her. Her knees buckled completely.

Julian caught her before she hit the wet ground. His arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her flush against his chest. He was warm—impossibly warm compared to the freezing night.

" There are a lot of people like those idiots around this area. It's best that you follow me to avoid getting into that circumstance again ". Julian said.

Mia just nodded .

He carried her to a sleek, dark Maybach parked at the curb with its hazard lights blinking. He opened the back door, gently sliding her onto the soft leather seat before getting into the driver's seat himself.

The heated leather seats instantly began to thaw her frozen skin, but the silence inside the car was thick and heavy. Mia leaned her head against the cool glass, her brain still hazy from the four drinks she had downed on an empty stomach. She stole a glance at the man behind the wheel.

"Why were you out there alone?" Julian asked, his knuckles white on the steering wheel as he navigated the slick, rain-drenched streets.

"I was... celebrating," Mia murmured, a bitter, breathless laugh escaping her. "Celebrating Losing my boyfriend. Losing everything."

Julian’s eyes flicked to the rearview mirror, holding her gaze for a long moment.

" That's a odd way to put it. But I don't mind ".

"A woman like you shouldn't be losing anything."

The short drive felt like slightly comforting

Before Mia could process where they were going, the car pulled into the underground garage of a luxury mansion. Julian opened her door, offering his hand. Mia reached for it, but the moment her feet hit the ground, the room tilted violently.

Julian caught her by the waist again, pulling her close. His touch sent a strange, electric shiver straight through her chest, cutting right through the haze of the alcohol.

"Can you walk?" he asked, his face inches from hers.

"I think so," she whispered, unable to look away from his mouth.

He didn't pull away. Instead, he kept one arm wrapped firmly around her waist, supporting her weight as they entered the private elevator. The doors closed, trapping them in a small, mirrored space.

Inside the quiet elevator, the air grew thick and heavy. Mia’s heart was hammering against her ribs. She looked up at him.

' He's handsome. Way more handsome than my ex'. She thought innerly.

"You're soaking wet," Julian said softly, his thumb brushing a stray strand of wet hair away from her cheek. His touch was surprisingly gentle for a man with such cold power.

"So who are you," Mia replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Julian’s breath hitched. He stared down at her wet lips, his jaw clenching as if fighting an internal battle. "You don't even know who I am, do you?"

"I know," Mia murmured, stepping closer, driven by a sudden, desperate need to feel alive after a day of being discarded. "You're the man who saved me."

The elevator chimed, the doors sliding open directly into his massive, dimly lit penthouse.

Julian didn't move for a second. He just stared at her, his pulse visible at the base of his throat. Then, with a low growl, he cupped her face in his hands, tilted her chin up, and captured her lips in a deep, fiery kiss that stole whatever air she had left.

Mia gasped into his mouth, wrapping her arms around his neck, letting herself sink completely into the heat and intensity of the moment. The heartbreak from Marcus, the the fear from the alley—it all melted away, replaced by the consuming lust that was about to rush out.

He lifted her up, her legs wrapping around his waist as he carried her through the apartment toward the master bedroom, neither of them breaking the kiss.

Both of them fell on the king size bed

Without hesitation, Julian pulled his clothes.

Mia expression slightly shifted, not from fear but from something else..

She didn't know why, but she just wanted it.

She wanted this stranger enter her.

To fuck her

The atmosphere on the 12th floor was thick enough to cut with a knife. The soft thud of Mia’s spilled coffee cup echoed in the dead silence of the office, but no one turned to look at her. Every single pair of eyes was glued to Julian Vance.Mia stood frozen, her heart was now racing." How's this possible? Why the hell is he here ". She muttered in panic.Julian’s gaze lingered on her face for two agonising seconds. His expression didn't change—it remained an unreadable, icy mask—but his eyes narrowed slightly, catching the stain on the carpet near her shoes before sweeping past her as if she were nothing more than a piece of trash to pass on."Mr. Henderson," Julian’s voice sliced through the silence, deep, commanding, and utterly calm. "Where is the chief archive auditor?"Henderson, the department supervisor, scrambled forward, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead. "R-right here, Mr. Vance! Miss Mia Willow handles our primary record management and risk compliance archives."
