“Myra, don’t be scared. I am there for you," Abram abruptly stood up and was about to touch her when Rayan pushed him back.
“Don’t you dare touch my daughter," he yelled, and soon a group of neighboring men entered the house. It was clear Rayan had set them around in case of an emergency.
“Myra, don’t be scared and tell your Dad what happened?" he sat beside Myra, who was crying hysterically.
“I am pregnant, and he threatened me he will kill my child if I don’t stay with him," her hiccups resonated in the eerily silenced hall. When Myra’s mother gasped and rushed towards her crying daughter, Abram was hit with reality.
