29- Date invitation

The next morning proved to be a rush hour for her. Getting ready along with Sophia's chirpy questions was a challenge in itself.

"Be quick with your breakfast honey. I need to book us a ride."

Sophia being Sophia was too excited for her first day. Emerald was not only pleased to see her child happy but also the prospect of seeing Rafael in the office was enough to add some thrill to her boring life.

Emerald did not forget to stuff the large manila envelope in her bag that was sitting secretly in that draw. She needed to think, if that envelope should be brought home or it should be left buried in an office cabinet.

With Rafael's frequent visits it was not safe to keep it at home.
