The drive out of the house was peaceful though Haven didn’t know what to really expect when the garage door opened up. She was hoping this wouldn’t turn into a huge thing where she and Mack were being chased down. There was no one there waiting for them to leave. She had to smile to herself that it was nothing like what she had thought it would be.
Mack looked out the windows and was slightly smiling to himself. This might be the exact thing he needed to finally be happy and free from the other department. He really didn’t want his name attached to them and all that they had a hand in. He would forever be labeled as a dirty cop if this hadn’t happened.
