We arrive at the pack house and it’s like its own town. Like, so many people just running around playing, heading somewhere else or just lounging around. I look at my mom who is smiling and start chewing on my bottom lip. Nervous habit I do when I am freaking out or thinking/concentrating really hard.

“Honey, you are going to be ok. The first few days will take some getting used to but you got this.” She said as she parks the car. She turns her head towards me and smiles.

I look at her and give her a small smile. “I know mom but you aren’t going to be here and it’s making me worry.”

“Baby, look at me.” She said. I look over.

“Even though your dad isn’t here he is always with me. Even though you won’t physically be with me in the house, you will be with me too.” She said pointing to her heart. “Plus, you will get to come see me every weekend after training and we can also try to make dinner dates if you want.
