Starting off on the wrong foot

Valerie’s words got caught in her throat for a while as she looked in the blue eyes of this mysterious man she’d brought home, his deep, husky voice sending chills down her spine and nothing seemed to matter to her as she was caught in his eyes already.

“Hello?” He winced as he snapped his fingers, jolting her out of her thoughts and back to him.

“What?” She said, cleaning the invisible drool that was already forming beside her lips and trying to compose herself and act normal.

“Who are you?” He asked again and this time almost raising his voice at her, she saw the anger in his eye as he spoke and that made her equally angry. He should be grateful he was alive, he should be grateful she’d decided to help him out of the forest before the wild animals made a meal out of him.

“You’re in my house.” She managed to say, pushing her anger aside and biting her tongue to refrain from saying the hurtful things that was already building up in her mind as she stared at him up and down.
