My eyes widened as I couldn’t escape the curious smile on Christian’s lips. Not many people intimidated me, but for some reason, he did.

It wasn’t because I was scared of him, but because he could break my family’s pride with just one snap.

Beau confronting me to tell Christian about how I disrespected his wife had opened my eyes and made me realize that I should at least be cautious with my words.
