Chapter Forty Four - I knew it!!!

Becca and I were getting ready to go out for dinner. We were celebrating. I finally got a new job, thank God. I wasn’t working for two weeks, and it drove me insane. I would miss all my free time that I was able to spend with Becca, though. I am surprised I hadn’t driven her crazy by now. But, tonight, I was taking her out to spoil her. I had booked us into one of the best restaurants in the city.

“Jake, baby, can you come and zip my dress for me?” Becca called from the bedroom.

“Sure thing, sweetheart,” I said, heading through.

I stepped into the room, and suddenly I was struggling to breathe. She looked stunning. She was dressed in a beautiful purple dress, her hair in curls, and her makeup, but wow!

“Wow, you look incredible, my love,” I gushed at her.
