The Burglar

MIA’S POV

Light surround Davon’s body, floating to the air. All I know was that he would be back inn the notebook again. I waited for him to disappear, but he didn’t.

After hovering above me, Davon was slowly laid on the ground. His bruises are gone and most importantly, he didn’t get suck by the notebook.

“Davon?” He was unconscious. I approached him and check his pulse. He was still breathing.

I called his name again. Davon blinked his eyes and looked shocked seeing me beside him.

“Why are you here? Did you get suck with me?”

“Huh? No. Your still here. The notebook didn’t dragged you inside. Look,” I pointed at the bushes and on the grass that was covered with his blood.

“What?” Davon looked up. Sunset is almost over. He should be inside the notebook by now, “Why am I still here? Wait, Mia, do you love me?”

“What kind of a question is that?”

“Just answer me.”

“Of course I do.”

“You do? That is why!” Davon hugged me, “ Your love freed me. That’s the cure to my curs
