Secret

MIA’S POV

Mom jumped off the stairs landing on her feet like a real badass woman. The werewolf attack her, but Mom fought back effortlessly.

“Mia, the bat!”

I threw the baseball to Mom. She caught it, and swung it to the werewolves face causing it to wimp and run.

She took her and called someone. Within thirty minutes, a van pulled over in front of our house. A group of guy came out and replace our door. They fixed everything like nothing happened.

Mom talked to a guy seating at the front seat. Their voices are barely audible making me hard to listen to them.

After which, the van left. I didn’t leave my spot sitting at the crouch facing the front door. I’m waiting for an explanation and Mom will give it to me.

“Mia, why are you still here? It’s late. You should go back to your room and sleep,” Mom started the stairs.

“Who are those people?”

Mon looked around, “Who?”

“Those who fixed our door!” I had raised my voice. Mom was playing like nothing happened.
