The illusionist

The illusionist frowned as he gazed at Roman with an unreadable expression. After several seconds, he let out another sigh and looked Roman in the eye again.

"Fine, I'll prove it to you." With these words, he vanished.

Roman watched as the illusionist disappeared. Although the man didn't appear, he still felt that he had somehow won his freedom after giving him the chance to prove to him that he was innocent.

He couldn't afford to waste any more time thinking about his imprisonment and his future, because every second wasted made him feel more miserable and helpless.

He didn't know if it would take him many more days or weeks before they came to realize that he was alive. He knew that the longer he waited, the further away he would be from helping Celine.
