“The Devil’s Angel”

Elisa

The third morning after our fight, I woke up in Antonio’s wing to silence.

It settled upon me like a heavy curtain, he hadn't come to my room and I hadn’t gone to him either, but the air between us still held something electric and unresolved.

When Matteo knocked on my door, I was already dressed.

“The boss wants to see you,” he said simply.

I followed him down the hall, my steps guarded, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Maybe another cold shoulder, another decision on who would speak to the other first, but Antonio was different this morning, he looked focused, calm and controlled.

He stood by the window in his office, arms crossed, dressed in gray slacks and a crisp green shirt, sleeves rolled.

When I stepped in, he didn’t look at me immediately, instead, he picked up a file from his shelf and tossed it gently onto the polished table.

“This is Intel,” he said. “From the man we pulled in two nights ago, he is one of Lorenzo’s old contacts, and he has confi

"Pressure Points"AntonioThe light above the cell flickered, casting a stuttering glow over the concrete wall, it was damp and filthy, Just like you'd expect from a place like this. This was the kind of place where silence meant fear, and screams meant truth. The informant we captured was strapped to a chair in the center of the room, shirtless, blood already soaking through the gauze that failed to hold back the damage Matteo had started. We never let a man walk in here thinking it would be quick, that would be showing mercy, and I was done being merciful.I stood in front of him, gloved hands down at my sides, sleeves rolled back.“You know why you’re here,” I said, my voice wasn't loud, it didn’t need to be, just my presence was enough to instill fear in him. “You carried a message from Lorenzo to Russo, I'm sure it involves a location, a time, and an instruction.”The man’s head lolled for a second, blood trailing down from his busted nose, one eye was already swollen shut.“

"Splinters"ElisaThere was a coldness in the estate I couldn’t shake, it was in the way people looked away too quickly, the hushed tones of conversations that stopped the moment I entered a room. Even the guards, usually firm and unreadable, were avoiding eye contact as if they had something to hide, the tension hung over the Romano estate like a smoke. And at the center of it was Antonio, who, for the past two days, had kept his distance with a precision I couldn't begin to understand. He hadn’t come to my room, he hadn’t called on me, Hadn’t even looked at me when he passed by.I wasn’t used to this version of him anymore, him being closed off and secretive, not after what we shared.I found Bianca in the courtyard, her eyes hidden behind large sunglasses, lounging with a book she clearly wasn’t reading, her posture appeared relaxed, but she wasn't really relaxed.“Do you feel it too?” I asked, sitting down on the stone bench across from her.She looked up slowly, lowering her

"Traitors Everywhere"AntonioThe report came through Matteo just after sunrise, he entered my study after knocking, tablet in hand, his face hard, that alone told me the news was bad.He placed the tablet on my desk, and I opened the file, there were names, locations, timestamps and photos, all neatly organized and damning.“They met again last night,” Matteo said. “Private suite at the Grand Astoria, same setup as before, two bodyguards outside, and Russo joined them this time.”I looked up from the screen. “Russo?”He nodded. “it was confirmed, we got a clear visual of him entering, there is no doubt that it’s him.”Russo Bianchi, that was serious, Marco didn’t send him for petty errands, if he was in on these meetings, this was bigger than we thought. It was not just behind closed doors deals anymore, this was something more.“What did they talk about?” I asked, my voice flat.“We couldn’t get audio,” Matteo said, his tone edged with frustration. “The room was shielded, we didn’

“The Choice”ElisaThe sheets still smelled like him, that was the first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes. The air was thick with the remnants of our night together, his cologne, his smell, the heat of our bodies still clinging to the linen like a secret. My thighs ache slightly, and I was sore down there. I could still feel the press of his hands on my hips, his mouth against my throat, his voice low and possessive as he told me what he was going to do to me.It wasn’t just about the sex, it was a line that we crossed, a dangerous, irreversible step we had taken into something that didn’t feel like hate or just partnership anymore. But love? No, I don't think he is in love with me, that word doesn't belong in this world, not ours.I sat up slowly, the silk robe I had thrown on after he left brushing softly against my legs, the room was quiet and still, it felt peaceful. Then I saw it, there was an envelope lying on the floor, just under the doorframe, it was white, and seemed

The SpyglassAntonioThe sky was just beginning to pale when I slipped out of Elisa’s bed and returned to my room.My shirt hung half-open, the taste of her was still on my tongue, her scent clung to my skin. I could still feel her nails on my back, the soft cries she’d made under me. The way her thighs had locked around my waist like she never wanted me to leave, I didn't want to leave too, because I couldn't get enough of her, after going at it four times last night. And yet, I had left, because I needed to. I wasn’t just a man in her bed, I was the boss of an entire family in a war, I couldn't afford to be distracted.I shut the door behind me, walked to the center of my room, and exhaled. For a second, I just stood there, silent, and still, my pulse was steady. But my mind was already spinning, what happened between us... it wasn’t just about need, it was deeper, it felt like a shift in the order of things, like I had crossed a line I couldn’t uncross. And I didn’t know if that

The Taste of SurrenderElisaThe room was quiet, but I wasn’t calm, not after what happened today, my body still felt the aftershocks of the ambush, the gunfire, and the heat in Antonio’s eyes when he looked at me afterward, he didn’t just see me as useful anymore, he saw me as his.I couldn’t sleep, my mind refused to shut down, I couldn't stay still, my skin felt hot, my thoughts kept circling back to him how close he had been to me when we got back, at the lounge. How tense his body was when we made it out alive, something had shifted between us, it wasn’t just about survival anymore. I heard it, there was someone at my door knocking softly, my heart jumped in my chest, I didn’t need to ask who it was. When I opened the door, Antonio stood there, his nightshirt clinging to his forearms. There were no suits this time the mafia boss wasn't standing in front of me, he was just a man. His face was unreadable, but his eyes were locked on me.“I couldn’t sleep,” he said, voice rough.

“A Fire Named Elisa”AntonioTrying to put my mind to rest so that I could sleep had become a battle for me, my mind was filled with flickers of gunfire and a woman who moved like she was born for war. The ambush played on repeat behind my closed eyes, not because of its outcome, but because of her.Elisa.She hadn’t just survived the ambush, she had dominated it, she had saved my life there. Every move she made had been clean and instinctual, there was no fear or hesitation stopping her. She had reacted not like someone who was trained to kill, but like someone who didn’t know how to do anything else. And that terrified me more than the men who had died last night.I threw off the sheets before dawn, after several hours of trying to decide myself that sleep would come, the chill of the room biting against my bare skin. The estate was asleep as I walked through the hallway, the silence pressed too tightly, it was suffocating, as if the walls themselves were aware that something ha

Life in your HandsElisaThe day carried a strange weight, it was quiet, but not calm, it wasn’t peace I felt in me, It was anticipation, coiling under my skin like a wire pulled too tight. From the moment Antonio summoned me and said we were leaving the estate, I knew something was brewing. He offered no details, he never did, just the time we were leaving and the location to meet him, with a clipped command, he said “Be ready.”And I was, when it was time.We drove through the outskirts of the city in silence. The car windows caught the last threads of light, casting shadows across his face, there was a brief, shifting expression of a man at war with himself. His grip on the steering wheel was tight, like he was holding something back from me, or fighting some internal battles. “Do you always pick the most scenic places for meetings?,” I said, trying to puncture the silence in the car.His mouth twitched, something just shy of amusement. “Scenic doesn’t matter in business, what
