Chapter 38

GRACE

Everything fell back into routine this morning. I woke up at the crack of dawn and got myself ready for training. Silas had walked me over to the pack house, except this time he didn't stick around for training. He headed inside to his office to complete pack business and investigate the murders further.

After Monica had been taken, the murders had stopped. The person, be it Darius or someone else, didn't feel the need to send me messages anymore by leaving dead bodies. Their point was coming across loud and clear with them having my best friend in captivity. However, I wasn't sure what they wanted from me anymore. I couldn't leave Silas, not with the mate bond finally being complete. Even if I did leave him, it would shatter both of us and I wasn't willing to put his life at risk. He was the only parent to a brilliant and gorgeous little girl who needed him.
