Luna swallowed hard, nervous as her heart raced. “Does this really have to happen?” she asked. Jacob caressed her face as he leaned closer and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. He had never expected to fall in love with a girl ten years younger than him. With a smile, Jacob answered, “Yes, this has to happen, and I’m sure you’ll like it,” he whispered sensually. On the day of his wedding, tragic news shattered Jacob’s happiness. His fiancée died in a terrible accident on her way to the wedding ceremony, leaving everything in chaos and Jacob with a deep, devastating wound in his heart. Heartbroken, he escaped to a distant private island, where he met a girl named Luna, the daughter of a victim of bullying. What began as an ordinary relationship gradually grew far more passionate, leaving Jacob captivated by the charm of a girl ten years younger than him. But everything falls apart when the truth about Luna’s identity is finally revealed, forcing Jacob to choose between letting Luna go or keeping her in his life, with consequences he never could have imagined.
View MoreThe wedding ceremony was peaceful, with several guests already arriving and preparing to witness the wedding blessing of Christian Jacob Lawson. At twenty-five years old, Jacob was still relatively young, yet he already had everything a man could possibly want.
With the support of his family, Jacob had achieved tremendous success. He had inherited a substantial share of his grandfather’s wealth, along with his father’s fortune. With his intelligence, Jacob had taken control of it all, making him one of the youngest men to ever be recognized among the world’s wealthiest people.
And today, his happiness would finally be complete. He was going to marry the woman he loved dearly, Anastasya. She was currently carrying his child, something that brought Jacob a happiness he had been eagerly looking forward to.
With a happy smile, Jacob accepted congratulations from his friends. “Congratulations, dude. Today, you officially become a lucky man,” one of his friends said, patting him on the shoulder.
“Thank you,” Jacob replied, his eyes gleaming. “Today, I’m marrying the woman of my dreams. Nothing could make me happier than that.”
Not long after, a girl approached him. Hazel, his talkative but caring younger sister, came closer and reached for Jacob’s tie. “Your tie is crooked. You have to look perfect,” she said as she straightened it.
Jacob chuckled softly. “I’m nervous. This is the most important day of my life.”
Hazel playfully patted his chest. “Relax. Don’t cause any trouble on your happy day.”
Jacob nodded. His happiness today made his heart race with anticipation. Soon, he would see Anastasya in her wedding dress, walking toward him. Just imagining it was enough to make Jacob nervous beyond words.
However, as time passed, Jacob’s uneasiness became increasingly apparent. His gaze remained fixed on the large doors at the end of the red carpet. “Why haven’t they arrived yet? Shouldn’t they be here by now?” he asked, glancing at the watch on his wrist.
“Be patient,” Hazel replied, trying to calm him. “They must be on their way.”
As they waited for the bride to arrive, Dustin, his father, affectionately put an arm around Jacob. “Be a good husband to your wife, especially now that Anastasya is carrying your child.”
Jacob nodded, an optimistic smile spreading across his face. “I’ll do my best for both of them.”
Jacob’s eyes repeatedly drifted toward the large doors, waiting for them to open and for Anastasya to walk through them. His heart pounded harder with every passing second, because surely, the woman he loved would be there any moment now.
“I’ve never been this nervous before,” he thought, trying to steady himself as he prepared to see Anastasya’s beauty in her wedding dress.
However, the tension hanging in the air reached its peak when the large doors finally opened. But the person who appeared was not Anastasya in her white wedding gown. Instead, a man with a pale, panic-stricken face rushed inside.
“Hey! This is a sacred area. Don’t you know this is a wedding ceremony?” Hazel shouted angrily.
But the man paid no attention to Hazel’s anger. Breathing heavily, he said, “I’m sorry... I’m so sorry, but the car carrying the bride was involved in an accident on the way here.”
The words echoed like thunder through the room that had been filled with happiness only moments before. Jacob stood frozen, his face turning as pale as the altar cloth. He stepped forward and grabbed the man tightly by the collar.
“Don’t talk nonsense! Are you trying to ruin my happy day?!” he shouted, his eyes widening with anger.
“I’m not lying, sir,” the man replied, trembling.
Jacob released his grip roughly and immediately ran outside. His footsteps were hurried, his mind consumed by a suffocating sense of fear. One of his friends quickly offered him a car to take him to the accident site.
It took only five minutes to get there. But what Jacob saw made his entire world collapse in an instant. A luxury car had been completely wrecked, shattered glass scattered across the road, and the distant sound of an ambulance siren made his heart sink even further.
“Where are the passengers?!” Jacob shouted at one of the officers at the scene.
“They’ve already been taken to the hospital, sir,” the officer replied.
Without wasting any time, Jacob headed straight to the nearest hospital. Once there, he hurried through the halls, desperately searching for the room where Anastasya had been taken. Every step felt unbearably heavy. He could only hope this wasn’t true and that his future wife and their child were both safe.
After searching, Jacob finally reached Anastasya’s room. But the sight before him shattered his heart. Outside the room, Anastasya’s parents were crying hysterically.
Jacob opened the door with trembling hands and saw Anastasya’s body lying on the bed, already covered with a white sheet. Her beautiful wedding dress was now stained with blood, a silent witness to the tragedy that had claimed her life.
Jacob approached on weakened legs. He pulled the sheet away from Anastasya’s face, hoping this was all just a terrible nightmare. But the sight of Anastasya’s peaceful face, gone forever, caused his tears to fall uncontrollably.
“This has to be a dream,” he murmured softly, using all his strength to steady himself against the edge of the bed.
His hand trembled as he touched his future wife’s face. “You’re joking, right? This is supposed to be our happy day. You must be testing me,” Jacob murmured, his voice trembling as the pain began spreading through his heart.
“Anastasya, open your eyes. You promised. We were going to raise the baby you’re carrying together,” Jacob cried, finally breaking down.
Behind him, Anastasya’s mother approached Jacob and gently rubbed his shoulder. “Jacob, Anastasya and your unborn child... they’re gone,” she said, her voice barely audible.
“No!” Jacob denied it. “This can’t be true. Anastasya would never leave me like this. She’s carrying my baby, and we’re supposed to get married today.”
Jacob began losing control of himself, but the reality remained unchanged. He could not wake his future wife, who lay in such peaceful stillness. Not long after, the door opened, and Jacob’s family arrived to calm him as he broke down hysterically.
Today was supposed to be their happiest day, but everything had fallen apart. There would be no wedding. Instead, Jacob was confronted with devastating news in the very moments that were supposed to mark the beginning of his happiness.
“No, this isn’t true. Anastasya couldn’t have left me like this,” Jacob cried as he watched the sheet he had thrown aside moments earlier being pulled back over Anastasya’s entire body.
The next day, Luna’s activities were the same as the day before. When Jacob left his room for the balcony, he would immediately be faced with the sight of Luna running around chasing the rabbits. Her face was so cheerful when she managed to catch the rabbit she was chasing. Luna would pick it up and stroke its head affectionately while giving it a carrot.“Being friends with a girl ten years younger than me feels strange,” he murmured, leaning his body against the balcony railing. “But living on this island without a friend would be too boring. Maybe it’s time I taught that girl that education is just as important as play.”Meanwhile, Luna did not realize that Jacob often watched her. She had grown used to being alone during her two years on the island. Her friends were the rabbits, which were so numerous there.A young rabbit was in her arms. She stroked its soft fur while feeding it. When she turned around, Jacob was suddenly standing not far from her. The surprise made the rabbit i
A bright morning greeted Jacob. He stepped out onto the balcony and stood there, taking in the beautiful view. The flower garden looked lovely, with many blossoms opening in the middle of spring. And yet the beauty still could not ease his heart. The pain he felt remained so great that every time he looked upon something beautiful, his thoughts turned to the person he loved. For a moment, Jacob closed his eyes, but his attention was quickly drawn by the sound of a girl laughing. When he opened his eyes, Luna was running after a rabbit.Jacob watched her intently. “Is this her morning routine?” he thought. He stayed quiet and watched. Luna was still wearing the same nightgown as yesterday. It was white, long-sleeved, and knee-length. The girl seemed to enjoy her life so much, and on the island where Jacob now lived, there really were many rabbits roaming around.“Seeing her happiness makes me envious. At the same time, I feel sorry for her. On this island, all she can do is play with r
Dustin’s vast private island was still beautifully maintained. Several guards and servants had been assigned to the island and were there to welcome Jacob upon his arrival.Jacob stepped down from the helicopter, his feet slowly touching the soft grass beneath him. The sea breeze swept across his face, carrying the salty scent of the ocean and stirring bitter memories in his heart. A servant greeted him politely, took his suitcase, and guided him toward the room that had been prepared for him.Jacob gazed at the mansion from a distance. The magnificent building, with its classic colonial touches, was still perfectly maintained, but to him, the place now held memories that existed only as shadows. He was supposed to have come here with Anastasya. They were supposed to create happy memories together. But reality had said otherwise. The woman he loved was gone, leaving behind an emptiness that could never be replaced.“Sir, allow me to show you to your room,” the servant said, breaking J
The days following Anastasya’s death were a silent sea that swallowed Jacob’s will to live. The man who had once been known for his energy and enthusiasm was now nothing more than a shadow of his former self. His face was pale, his eyes were empty, and his words were barely audible. In the backyard garden, Jacob sat on a wooden bench, staring aimlessly at the sky as it glowed with the colors of dusk.Hazel stood in the doorway, watching Jacob with tears welling in her eyes.“Dad,” Hazel whispered, turning toward Dustin. “We have to do something. For five days, Jacob has done nothing but sit there in silence.”Dustin slowly shook his head. “Leave him alone, Hazel. A loss like this cannot be healed through force. Jacob needs time to let her go.”“But, Dad...” Hazel bit her lip, her heart aching at the sight of her older brother, who had always been the family’s pillar of strength, now as fragile as a dry leaf caught in the wind.Ignoring her father’s warning, Hazel walked toward Jacob.
