Yasmeen’s POV

“What are you doing?”

Elsa’s voice cut sharply across the living room.

I quickly let go of Liam’s face and stepped back, forcing a calm expression.

“It’s nothing, Elsa,” I said quietly. “I think your husband is just moody… you know how the debt issue can be.”

I didn’t wait for her reply. I turned and walked upstairs at a steady pace, even though my heart was still beating too fast. The moment I reached my room, I closed the door and leaned against it, panting softly.

  • Payback on His Twin Bed   Up a little

**l**Yasmeen’s POV**“Liam…”I called his name slowly. My voice came out softer than I intended, already shaking.“Why are you doing this? Why are you becoming so harsh?”Tears gathered at the corners of my eyes before I could stop them. The anger from earlier, the slap, the hand on my throat, the phone screen showing the money I had sent him — all of it sat heavy in my chest. The payment, the word “bitch,” the way he had looked at me as if the entire arrangement had been reduced to a transaction — it left no soft place to stand. I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around him tightly, pressing my face against his chest. The fabric of his shirt was warm from the afternoon sun. I could hear the steady beat of his heart under my ear.“Sorry for whatever I said to you… I’m sorry.”The words broke as I sobbed against him. His body stayed rigid for a second, as if he had not expected the apology, as if the morning’s cruelty still stood between us like a wall. Then he tried to pull me awa

  • Payback on His Twin Bed   Who the fuck is the bitch????

****Yasmeen’s POV**After the truth or dare ended, Beatrice started serving dessert from the shaded cabana. Small glass bowls of fresh fruit, cream, and thin slices of cake moved from tray to hands. The group’s laughter had settled into a lower, satisfied murmur, the kind that followed too much wine and too many dares. The sun hung lower now, painting the water in softer gold.Elsa sat close to Liam on one of the loungers and fed him small bites as if he were a child who could not manage a spoon. Every time her fingers brushed his mouth I rolled my eyes. I lost count of how many times I did it. The sight sat under my ribs like something sharp and unfair — the same woman who had been on her knees near the trees earlier, the same mouth that had trailed wine across his chest in front of everyone, now playing at tenderness while he allowed it. The morning’s argument still echoed in my head. I had told him he was nothing. I had told him I was only using him. Watching her feed him made tho

  • Payback on His Twin Bed   Too jealous

****Yasmeen’s POV**I could not control myself when I saw Elsa with him.One moment she was on her knees near the trees, hands at his belt. The next, even after I stopped it, the image stayed burned behind my eyes — the white dress against the sand, her fingers working his buckle, the way she had looked up at him as if the afternoon belonged to her. I did not understand the sharp, ugly feeling that rose in my chest. We had an arrangement. No feelings. Revenge. That was all it was supposed to be. So why did the sight of her touching him make my hands shake? Why did I feel the need to stand between them as if he belonged to me?I had no answer.I only knew that when I wrapped my arms around him from behind and begged him not to let her touch him again, something in me refused to let go. The morning’s cruel words still sat between us, but my body had moved before my pride could stop it.He did not lean into it.He forcefully separated my hands from his waist and pushed me aside. I stagg

** **Yasmeen’s POV** “It’s picnic time!” Liora’s scream echoed through the hallway as she ran past the door, the sound bright and relentless. I stepped out, still half-asleep and irritated, the weight of the morning argument still sitting heavy under my ribs. “What do you mean by that?” “Uncle Lucas said we’re going to the beach this evening. All of us. Beatrice is already cooking!” She did not wait for my reply. She spun around and raced toward the stairs, already listing the things she wanted to bring. I closed my eyes for a second, then walked into the bathroom and locked the door behind me. Under the warm water I kept seeing Liam’s face from that morning — the way his expression had closed after my words, the quiet, sharp hurt that had settled in his eyes before the smirk returned. For the first time I had read real pain there, and the knowledge of it followed me even as I washed. I scoffed at myself, finished under the spray, and dressed in just a short gown..... I sta

  • Payback on His Twin Bed   I hateeee you

****Yasmeen’s POV**“You are just a baby…” I whispered.Liam raised his head slightly from where it rested against my chest. His eyes were half-open in the dim light, the usual sharp focus softened by something closer to vulnerability.“I thought you were asleep,” I said softly. He did not answer. The quiet between us stretched, filled only by the faint sounds of the house settling around us. Beatrice’s words from days earlier returned without warning — how he do pretend to sleep, how the paralysis terrifies him as a kid, how he woke gasping or with blood from his nose, how he held onto a necklace just to feel some control when his body refused to move. The image of him alone in the dark, fighting for breath, had stayed with me longer than I wanted to admit.“You hate sleeping,” I murmured. My fingers moved slowly through his hair, tracing the short strands at the back of his neck in steady, careful motions.“Just hold me… and you will feel safe.”For a moment he stayed still, as if

  • Payback on His Twin Bed   In between her breast

****Liam’s POV**My phone vibrated against the nightstand.I picked it up and stared at the screen. A message from Yasmeen.**Can I spend a night with you…**I smirked, then bit my lower lip, the words settling deeper than a simple request should have. **Yes baby…**I typed the reply slowly, letting the two words sit on the screen for a second before I added another line.**Be careful. Don’t get caught.**I locked the phone and set it down, still smiling in the dark. The thought settled in my chest with quiet, almost dangerous satisfaction. I was not scared of getting caught. In fact, part of me wanted the moment Lucas finally understood that the wife he treated like a perfect accessory — the woman who wrote books about forever and stood on stages talking about emotional connection — had already been taken from him in every way that mattered.I leaned back against the headboard smiling sheepishly.---**Yasmeen’s POV**I lay on my back in the dark, listening.Elsa’s voice drifted
