Chapter 4 Jenna Radcliff and Dogs Not Allowed!

“Grandmother!” Jenna screamed and immediately ran out to get a doctor.

As she watched the doctor push her grandmother into the emergency room, she burst into tears and kept pacing up and down the corridor.

She would never forgive herself if something happened to her grandmother!

Not long after, her grandmother was pushed out of the emergency room with an oxygen mask over her face.

The doctor said to Jenna, “The patient’s heartbeat has stabilized, but she needs to be treated with medication. The medication she needs is a special-grade drug with a limited supply. You will have to pay for it before we can give it to her.”

“Alright. Thank you.” Seeing her grandmother was alright, Jenna breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly went downstairs to pay.

However, when she tried to do so, she discovered that all her cards had been frozen.

Jenna called Yvonne and said anxiously, “Yvonne, can you help me ask Shawn why all my cards have been frozen? My grandmother needs money to pay for her medication.”

“Jenna, have you forgotten?” Yvonne interrupted her, her tone even seeming a little cold. “You relinquished your share of the assets.”

Without waiting for Jenna to continue speaking, she hung up the phone.

Jenna had a lump in her throat as she thought of her grandmother needing money to buy the medicine and hastily called a cab to go to Seabright’s office.

She wanted to ask Shawn why he had taken Seabright away.

As well as why he was so cruel about it—just because she had done something wrong, he left her without a single penny.

When the cab finally reached Seabright, it was raining heavily.

Jenna rushed into the rain, walked quickly toward the front of the building, and tried to enter. However, the security guard at the entrance viciously pushed her onto the ground.

“I beg you. Please let me in! I want to see Shawn!” Jenna got up and grabbed the security guard’s arm. The rainwater made her small face look even paler. “I need money to buy medicine, or my grandmother will die!”

The security guard pushed Jenna away once again, bringing the sign at the side forward. “Miss Radcliff, please open your eyes and look at this sign!”

Jenna wiped away the rainwater on her face.

The sign read: ‘Jenna Radcliff and dogs not allowed!’

“Shawn, what have I ever done to you?” Tears flowed from Jenna’s eyes and mixed with the rainwater.

When she was three years old, her father brought back a boy. “Jen, his parents have passed away in an accident. From now on, he will stay with us and be your big brother.”

At the time, Shawn, who was six years old, came over to give her a knightly salute and smiled warmly. “Hello, my little princess. I will protect you from now on!”

Since she was three years old, Shawn had protected her and the Radcliffs well.

In her heart, Shawn was a part of their family—he was her prince.

Under Shawn’s pampering, she did not have to learn anything. All she had to do was buy clothes, bags and be obedient.

So why was he so cruel now?

He took away everything she ever had so she would be left with nothing and even mocked her, insinuating that she could not even measure up to a dog.

All because she was tainted?

Employees entering the building quickly recognized Jenna collapsed on the entrance ground and pointed at her.

“Miss Radcliff is such an indecent woman. She’s already married but still had a room at a hotel with another man.”

“I heard Mr. Sadler’s already divorced Miss Radcliff. It’s good that he has!”

“If it weren’t for Mr. Sadler, and it was up to that brainless woman to manage the company, it would have been bankrupted long ago!”

Elsewhere…

In Seabright’s CEO’s office, Shawn Sadler, who sat in the boss’ chair, watched as the scene at the entrance of the building unfolded through the real-time security feed. Looking at the woman with a wretched appearance on the ground and drenched with rain, a complex expression crossed his face.

It quickly returned to a cold expression as he threw the picture sat on his desk of a young boy and a young girl brightly smiling into the rubbish bin.

“Jenna, this is what your family owes me!”

No matter how much Jenna begged the security guard and even tried to get the help of Seabright’s general manager, nobody paid any attention to her.

The security guard even thought she was in the way and used a riot control fork to push her to the side of the road.

Jenna’s leg banged into the railing and the metal wire cut a long line into her leg. She fell to the ground in pain and could not get up no matter how she tried.

Jenna could not help but cry in pain.

In just one day, she had lost everything.

Nobody knew how much time passed as the day darkened and the rain continued to pour heavily.

A black Maybach slowly came to a stop beside Jenna. Soon, the driver got down from the passenger seat and walked up to Jenna with an umbrella.
