Chapter 3. Faith And Confidence

Everything goes smoothly between our family. Shane also introduced me to her parents. They happily accepted our relationships. My mother urged my girlfriend to introduce them to her parents and as I expected my mom offered them business cooperation when we have a family dinner together.

“Shane, thank you for your help. I know my mom won’t stop bugging me about introducing them to your parents.”

We are walking to their garden now after our dinner with her family. My parents are still talking to them about business and their future cooperation.

“It's nothing, Roxy, my parents also want to meet them and they want to know more about you.”

I held her hand while walking, “Shane, I want to know you more. Every second of the day that I’ve spent with you is filled with happiness. You are my sunshine.”

“You are really a sweet talker Roxy, I bet that you can catch the heart of every woman that you want,” she said while laughing.

“I’m telling the truth Shane. I’m not like this with every woman that I’ve met. it’s only you, my sweet words are all meant for you.” I kissed her cheek and hugged her.

“Okay I believed you. Can you tell me all about you too, your past lover or fling whatever. I also wanted to know all about you.” Shane rests her head on my shoulder while we are walking.

We sat on the pavilion. The surroundings are beautiful and filled with beautiful flowers. The night sky is so romantic. The light that comes from the moon fills the garden and it reflects on some flowers with beautiful colors.

“I love this place every time that I need to calm my mind and need some peace. I just went here, sat with wine and watched the beautiful night sky,” Shane said while staring at the moon.

“I like the place too. It’s like a romantic dating place,” I placed my hand on her shoulder and pulled her into my arms.

“Roxy, please call me ‘love’ if you don’t mind,” she said shyly.

My heart beat so fast she’s so cute while saying those words, "Uhm..I wanted to call you that way a long time ago but I hesitate whether you will like it or not.”

“I will love it if you call me love from now on. I am a clingy one Roxy so be prepared,” she smiled so sweetly.

We started to talk and shared about each other's past, our past relationships.

“Roxy, my love, I have been in a relationship five times but it’s all not ended well. They don’t like me being too clingy to them whether my relationship with a woman or a man ended for the same reason and they broke up with me.”

I saw the sadness in her eyes while telling me all of her past relationships, “Don’t be sad my love, it's all in the past now.”

“Love, it’s okay with you even if I become too clingy you won’t feel suffocated at me?”

“Shane, I like you to be more clingy to me than anyone else okay. I’m sure I can handle your craziness if ever.” I laugh silently.

Shane hit my shoulder while laughing, “You are silly!”

I hugged her tightly and shared my warmth with her, “Promise me love that no matter what happens between us or in the future ahead of us we will stay together and be by each other’s side.”

“I promise Roxy.”

I lift her chin slowly and kiss her soft lips. My kisses went deep. I feel her body’s trembling.

“Love, why are you trembling like that?”

“Because I'm so nervous but yet it makes me excited because in our one month relationship this is the first time that you kiss me deeply. It makes me really happy, Roxy.”

“I..I wanted to do this a long time ago but I don’t want you to think that I’m too fast even though we are just new.”

“Pfft..Are we kids Roxy? We are both adults. Should we do it in a adult way?” Shane is grinning at me that I felt so nervous with that cheeky smile on her face.

I pulled her closer to me and put a kiss mark on her neck, “Shane, don’t tempt me love there’s a lot of time for that.”

“Ugh! Why did you put a kiss mark on me? How can I wear my dress now!”

Shane hit me hard and I just laughed at her. She pouted cutely, “You meanie!”

“Alright, I’m sorry let’s hurry back now. I’m sure they are waiting for us now,” I said and grabbed her hand to stand up.

We Went back to their house and my parents said goodbye to her parents and they agreed to meet again for their cooperation.

“Love, we need to go please rest well okay,” I said and kiss her temple.

“Bye love please be careful on the road, message me when you get home,” Shane said and kissed my cheek.

“Okay that’s enough little love birds it’s late we should hurry,” mom said while smiling at us.

I said goodbye to her parents and we drove home. After two hours we arrived at home. My mom was so happy to meet Shane's parents.

“Roxy, I can’t believe that Shane is a popular model and the CEO of their company just like you,” mom said.

“Yes Mom, I’m shocked when I found out about that and she said that she will go to the US for the fashion show there. She is one of the women’s clothing brand models there.”

“My precious, are you not nervous that Shane will like another woman or a man there? She’s so famous and beautiful I bet there’s a lot there that wants her to be her lover,” dad said seriously and sat by my side.

“Honestly Dad, I’m not that confident that Shane will only like me. I feel that I am lacking in so many ways that I am not suited for her.”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Roxy! You are our one and only hire. You are a very successful woman, a great person, intelligent, beautiful, sexy and more. Why do you need to feel inferior? Have faith and confidence in yourself also to your love,” mom said out loud and sat on the couch with us.

I smiled so happily, “Thanks Mom, Dad, I’m so happy that you are there to support me.”

“But sweetie, in case you and Shane broke up you better just get married okay,” mom said and she stood to go up stairs.

“Mommy! That again? I already told you it’s impossible for me to get married to a man.”

“Roxy, you need to think realistically. Think about it more in the future.”

Mom already went to her room while dad and I left on the couch. I sigh heavily and rest my head on dad’s lap.

“Roxy, my precious daughter, just let your Mom don’t argue with her okay. I will talk to her don't worry. Just be happy with your relationship now with Shane. Don’t think of anything else.”

Dad caressed my hair just like a baby. He really pampered me so much and I am so happy because of that. I know my Mom will not surrender on what she likes even though we already reconcile with each other. She thinks that the best future for me is to be married to a man and have children but it’s impossible. If I have to get married one day I will marry Shane for sure and I will make it happen no matter what it costs.
