Chapter 15. You Are Her One And Only

After four hours in the operating room finally it’s done but still I’m unconscious. The Doctors transferred me to the ICU room. They told my parents that I’m not stable and still in danger.

My mother cried a lot that day as well as my father. Shane was so scared that the worst thing would happen to me. She kept on praying and begging God to save me, to save my life.

“Mrz. Santillan, I'm sorry to say this but your daughter is in a coma. We found out that there’s a blood clot on her brain and there's damage in her skull as well when the operation is in process. We can’t say when she will be able to wake up,” the Doctor said.

My mom cried and she felt weak on her knees. Dad held her tightly and hugged her, “ Honey, we need to be brave for Roxy’s sake. We need to fight for her and believe that she can make it through and she will wake up soon.”
