Chapter four

It was a Monday morning, Just around 7:35 am in the morning when a Cab parked right across the street. A Corporately dressed woman alighted from the vehicle. 

She was a Red headed tall woman, with a glint of small make-up on her face. She had this short heeled red shoes on, matching her hair and bag. 

Plus, there was a determined look on her face, like she was about to go to war.

After finishing up with the cab man, it drove away leaving her standing in front of the main headquarters of the Walker coperations, the company she would be working in from now on. 

She already had a pass on her, and the security let her into the place. The receptionist stood behind the counter, with a phone placed on her ear as she spoke into it. She was a young brunette, looking like she was in her early twenties. 

The red head walked up to her, wearing a fake vibrant smile on her face to mask her nervousness. 

" Hello" The red head started once the receptionist was done on the phone.

" Hello ma'am, how may I help you?" The receptionist smiled back. 

" My name is Ava Park, and I'm the executive CEOs new assistant supposed to meet him and start work by today" 

" Oh!" The receptionist was puzzled at first " Can I have a look at your pass please?"

" Of course" 

Ava gave the woman her pass, and after a quick scan check, the woman nodded her head in approval, "My name is Nicole Lynn, I'm the receptionist of this headquarters" She smiled even wider this time. 

" It's Very nice to meet you, Miss Nicole" 

" The CEO doesn't usually arrives Early, so I'll have to refer you to the VP first."

" Of course. No problem"

" Please head up to the Fourth floor, the last office by your right"

" Hm, thank you" 

And with that, Ava walked up to the elevator. 

She didn't exactly go straight to the office, instead she navigated herself around til she found the bathroom. Stepping inside, she saw that there was already another woman in there putting on some extra lipstick. 

Ignoring the woman's glances, Ava stood beside her to look at herself in the mirror once again. She was ready to do it. It's been her mission even since the unfaithful incident, and her heart won't heal till she also sees him in pains. She's here now...

Looking and trying to behave like a completely different person. 

Her Profile had completely been changed with the help of Chad. He had used his various connections to help her attain this job the moment they got word that his last secretary had been fired. Everyone knows that Green never interviews anyone by himself, nor the VP of this building. 

Chad made it seem like Ava had already been interviewed at another Branch, just to come work for the head of the branches, the Executive CEO, Green walker. 

Now, Ava was putting on a well secured red wig on her head, and this would be the second time in her entire life that she would put anything on her face to make her look more beautiful. 

Lastly, she was thankful she had worn the ' Not so long heels' or she would be tripping or falling everywhere by now. 

The worse part about everything right now, is how she's supposed to behave. She would go with being the innocent secretary, working for the Cold CEO. But, what if she suddenly bursts out like she usually does? Or laughs like she usually does? Worse, What if she mistakenly Punchs him on the shoulders playfully?

Ava, then noticed that the woman that she had ignored, was still staring at her. Much more boldly and accessively this time. 

" I'm New here" Ava said with a soft voice. 

" How new??"  The woman spat out. Okay, Ava didn't expect that, and the woman was looking like she wanted to jump on her. 

" I resume work today"

" As? " The woman crossed her hands against her chest. She was putting on a pink suit, which gripped her everywhere. 

" The CEOs New secretary assistant" 

Now Ava was more than sure that the woman was spiteful towards her because she was now openly glaring at her the moment she said those words. 

"So it's you" The woman frowned.

" Do you...Know me?" Ava had to ask, and also resist the urge to punch her glaring brown eyes. 

" You should be knocking in front of my office by now. I am the VP of this headquarters, Amanda Richardson"

" And I am Ava Park. I had to gather myself first before meeting such a high woman like you, I'm sorry if I caused any form of unacceptance or displeasure by heading to the bathroom first" Ava never knew her acting skills could be this great. She sounded so damn innocent even to her own ears, and she had melted down her deep voice to sound calming and soothing to the ears. 

But, she didn't seem to be having the soft effect on this woman, or even if she did then the woman is still very angry. 

" What if I had been waiting for you? What if the damned woman downstairs had called and informed me that you were on your way up to see me? Would you have actually kept me waiting because you wanted to gather yourself?!"

" There's no way I would have kept you waiting ma'am. Gathering oneself, in my case takes only a minute and I would come straight to you. You wouldn't even know I stopped to catch my breath, ma'am. "

" Really??" Amanda took a threatening step towards Ava. 

" Yes Ma'am" Ava wasn't even fazed. 

At all. She just kept retaining that adorable innocent look on her face, like she was totally naive of the looks on her boss's face. 

Another threatening step, and they were now toe to toe, "Careful. I could Fire you before you even start your job "

" I'm being as careful as I can Ma'am, but I don't understand what's wrong"

Amanda gritted her teeth, hissed angrily and stomped out of the bathroom. The moment she left, the innocent look on Ava's face dissolved, and a scowl appeared on her face. 

She was pissed too. 

That woman needs to be whipped on the face!

A few minutes went by before she picked up her bag and walked out of the restroom. She easily located the CEOs office since there was a bold tag just above the door of his office with the word " Executive CEO" Written on it. 

Actually, she had to ride another elevator up, searching the names written on all the offices. 

Also, there was a huge semi round table just outside his office, almost resembling the one Nicole sat down behind...

But this one was her table. 

The secretary's table. Her new table. 

She dropped her bag on the table, and took a good look around the entire place. 

After soaking in the beautiful picture, her eyes landed on the door to his office. Nicole already told her that he doesn't arrives Early, so he can't be in there by now. 

With that, a creepy smile crept around her face as she stepped up to the door, and turned around the knob. She had expected it to be locked at first, but when it opened a bit...

Her smile grew wider. 

But, the smile vanished a little too soon. 

Because, that particular day, Green walker had decided to arrive earlier than he had originally planned since his plans got postponed. 

He just sat down there, watching a little red head poke her head inside his office with a silly smile on her face. She didn't fully walk inside, but he saw as her eyes took in every inch of his office... before it finally landed on him. 

She blinked twice. 

Again.

Before the smile vanished, and her eyes widened.
