The door clicked shut. Then it locked, a small sound that seemed far too quiet for how much it changed.

I stared at it anyway.

My wolf made one sound inside me. Mate. Not angry, not demanding, just broken, like something small and wounded curling in on itself.

I could still see Mara through the glass. Her forehead rested against the door, one hand pressed over her mouth. She was crying, and the rain outside blurred the edges of her until she looked like something already fading from memo

How does Sabine seems to know what happened in the talk with Silas? Did Rhett told her? Did they called her afterwards? Did her mother confessed?
