Chapter 3

Nicholas

Thick tension settled amidst Eliana and me in my Silver Mustang. I kept on throwing glances at her, and each time I would catch her looking at me, only for her to pretend she wasn't. Lowering my gaze, her creamy thighs peeked under her dress that had ridden up slightly. I remembered the way her smooth skin felt against my hand. I turned quickly, staring at the road ahead, careful not to get distracted.

"He is a good man," I started, trying to ease up the tension and rid my mind of getting glued to her inviting thighs.

"And your mom...she is good for him. I only met her today for the first time, but it was crystal; she makes him happy," I added when she turned to face outside through the window.

She let out a loud sigh before talking. "Of course, it's good enough to start dating a woman who tasked him with investigating her husband's murder."

"There's no need to be sarcastic. Your mother deserves happiness; she needs to be loved and taken care of." I earned a warning glare from Eliana, but I wasn't going to stop telling her what I thought.

"You don't know shit about what she wants, so shut up," Eliana snapped at me.

"You are selfish, and if anything, you just want her to live miserably for the rest of her life." I knew I hit a nerve when she whipped her head so fast, ready to explode.

"Shut the fuck up." She gritted her teeth.

"No, I won't. Robert too deserves to be happy, and currently it's only your mother who is doing that. Make no mistake, Ellie, I will do anything to make sure my brother stays sated and relaxed. That includes making sure you don't get between them." As my elder brother, Robert had gone through so much raising me.

Our parents died when he had just turned 18, while I was 8 years old. He took responsibility and refused to give me up to any foster home. I still remembered how he struggled to pay the bills, cater for my education, and provide for every single thing that I needed.

"Are you threatening me?" Her voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Why are you so against your own mother being happy?" I ignored her question and asked mine instead.

"I want what's best for her, and that is why I will not accept it," she argued.

"You're overreacting," I responded without a care in my voice, listening to Ride by Somo when it came up. The song was all about intimacy and sex, and every single word had me imagining pinning Eliana onto a wall. Her attitude needed to be put off; she needed to be tamed, and what better way than fucking her into silence?

"Do you know they've only known each other for two weeks?" She pushed her upper body up and turned to look at me.

"Yes," I replied, glancing back at the road.

"And you're okay with this?" Her voice rose while she shook her head at me. Then she went on and on about how her mother was forgetting her father. She vented, letting out all her thoughts and views about the union. All that time, as she spoke, I couldn't stop staring at her cupid bow-shaped pink lips.

They were a perfect size and alluring, and I imagined pushing my dick inside her mouth to stop her from talking. How heavenly would it feel to have her soft lips wrapped around my cock? As if on cue, blood rushed between my legs, awakening my previously flaccid cock.

"Are you even listening to me?" she shouted in exasperation, snapping her fingers right in front of my face.

"Of course," I straight-up lied. I hadn't heard a thing she said because I was busy conjuring her on her knees in my mind as I pumped my manhood in and out of her small mouth.

"Tell me one thing I said," she huffed, crossing her arms above her upper abdomen. The action had her arms pushing her boobs upwards, making them more visible from under her dress. It was a choke neck, but the material was too thin; it showed the outline of her breasts and her nipples. I had avoided looking at them, but she was making it hard for me. Not when she was flashing them right in front of my face.

"Uuuh..." I scratched my head with one hand while holding the steering wheel with the other.

"Right," she whispered, leaning back in her chair. I prayed that she wouldn't see the bulge between my legs. God, I wouldn't know what to say. She was so young, for goodness sake, and yet my cock didn't want to agree with me.

"You do not care about Robert. If you did, then you would know he's making a mistake," she said lowly; her voice had an edge I couldn't quite place.

"They are both adults; it is their lives, and they are solely responsible for their actions." I drove up her street, slightly disappointed that she had to get out of my car. I loved her company, even though we didn't agree on anything.

"But." She tried arguing, but I cut her off.

"You are not worried because of how quickly things are moving between my brother and your mother." I stopped the car when we reached her home. I packed outside the garage and turned to look at her without having to worry about driving.

"Your problem is that you think that she's forgetting your father. You feel like she doesn't want to keep him in her life anymore." As I spoke, she tried getting out, but I had the doors locked. I shifted to face her, biting back a groan when I put a strain on my hard cock under the confining slacks. As I looked at her conflicted, pretty face, I imagined wrapping my arms around her to comfort her. The thought didn't help with my little problem; in fact, it was making it even worse.

"You don't want a man in her life because, since your father passed on, she's all you've had. Eliana, you are scared that she won't be in your life anymore. Is that the truth?" I asked in a low, throaty voice, observing her closely as the lights in my car illuminated her face. Her body slightly shook as moisture filled her eyes fast.

"I'm scared of losing her," she finally admitted with a tremble in her voice after seconds of just sitting there. I understood where she was coming from, but she needed to know that her mother was an adult and that soon she wouldn't want to be told what to do.

"Talk to her about how you feel. Communication shouldn't always be done through arguing and shouting. If you talk calmly, you will have this sorted out." I couldn't help but take her hands into mine. Seeing her cry made me feel a weird feeling in my chest, one that I wasn't used to.

"Will you..." she trailed off, looking everywhere but at me. Her hands were warm, but they were shaking from the different emotions inside her. I looked expectantly at her, waiting for her to finish the statement.

"Never mind," she finished, pulling her hands away from mine and turning to look outside the window.

"No, I mind. I know we've only met, but trust me, I want you to be okay," I said, and I meant each and every word. Something about her just drew me in; a part of me cared so much, and it was scaring me.

"I'm... I've never slept alone si-since my fath-er..." She didn't have to finish for me to know that she was scared of spending the night alone. I could only see the side of her face, but I knew she must have been imagining staying alone for hours.

"Sshh, Ellie, I will stay with you till your mother gets back," I spoke before I could stop myself, and I couldn't take the words back. She turned to briefly look at me, her red eyes lighting up, when I offered to stay. That alone brought a sense of relief that I hadn't anticipated at all.

"But don't you have, you know, things to do?" she rambled, throwing sideways glances at me.

"I cannot pass up an opportunity to spend time with you, just the two of us," I answered, looking at her chest as she took in a deep breath. It was clear she imagined us getting sexual at some point, and so did I. I could only hope I had the will and strength to not think about touching her inappropriately. After all, I was soon to be her step-uncle, and she was just a young college girl.

Or was she?
