Dinner Date

The next day at red restaurant. 7pm sharp.

Diana arrived at a high end restaurant that was completely reserved. She stared at the candle light, dinner table and took her seat without no much change of her expression. The seat opposite hers was empty even after waiting for several minutes. She was the kind of person who likes to work with time so seeing him being late like this made her frown.

Still... she remained patient for about thirty minutes to an hour and when he still didn't show up, she picked up her purse and was prepared to leave but thought again about it and gave her grandpa a call.

"I don't know who you set me up with, if he's still not here after ten minutes then I'm gone" she fumed.

"Calm down, something might have happened. Be patient a little bit okay?" The old man tried to coax her.

"Ten minutes" She said into the phone and was prepared to end the call when a voice suddenly sounded behind her followed by light footsteps.

"I didn't think Miss Diana would be so impatient while awaiting my arrival"

Diana felt her back stiffen when she heard that super familiar voice. It was a voice she could never forget, one she constantly heard even in her dreams so how could she forget it?

She raised her head slowly to meet ink, dark eyes. Thump, thump, thump. Her heart raced like it was running a marathon.

"E-ezekiel?" she called, a part of her hoping she was seeing things.

"Its good that you didn't forget me" Ezekiel chuckled enjoying every expression that passed through her face. He leaned back on his seat and smiled.

The kind of smile he had flashed at her five years ago after saying all of those harsh and horrible words, after dumping her...

Diana clenched her fists under the table, she had no idea she would be meeting her ex boyfriend after so many years and like this. The memories of those days came rushing into her head.

It cannot be him! She will never marry someone like him.

She stood up, ready to leave when he spoke.

"Your grandfather is in a very tight spot right now. Are you sure you want to leave?"

"Why are you doing this?" she asked him "What are you hoping to earn from this?"

He stood from his seat, towering over her as his lips raised and he whispered "You"

"Heh" Diana scoffed "You must be crazy"

He chuckled "Not crazier than you are"

He was so unbelievable but no, it doesn't matter. She already signed the contract. She had no choice.

She took in a deep breath, trying very hard to control her emotions as she took her seat once again.

"Good" Ezekiel muttered, going back to his seat as well as the waiter presented the menu to them.

Diana absentmindedly ticked a few things and when Ezekiel saw her choices, he reminded her.

"You know you cannot drink Alcohol"

"It's none of your business if I want to drink it now." Diana glanced at him "Don't act like you know something about me"

None of them said anything else until the food was served and Diana hurried to eat, she couldn't wait to be out of his sight.

Just seeing him again made her chest tighten in anger.

She heard once, when she was in Las Vegas that he had become the president of JK corps so when her grandpa said she would be getting married to someone who could save the company from the clutches of Jk, she thought it was someone more powerful, more influential. She had no idea it was the same Jk's president who was planning to swallow them up.

Just what was her grandfather thinking?

She picked up her drink and took a sip to calm her nerves. She wasn't the same girl who couldn't control her emotions five years ago, that girl who let others bully her the way they wanted and let it go. That girl, was gone.

"I thought you wouldn't recognize me, Diana. I'm glad that you do"

"How could I forget, when I see you in my dreams everyday?..." her lips curled into a sly smile "... covered in your blood"

An amused look entered his eyes when he looked at her as she asked,

"You're the one who offered a marriage alliance?"

"Mmmm... I couldn't let my ex girlfriend's company go down like that now, can I?"

"So thoughtful" Diana nodded, gulping down all of her drink, she poured herself another "It seems you didn't completely get over me after all"

"There was nothing to get over in the first place" Ezekiel smiled watching her neutral expression. He was surprised at how she could still remain calm. This was not the woman he knew years ago, the woman he woke up to everyday was not this cool headed.

"Really?" Diana looked at him, a sly smile covered her lips as she crossed her legs, slowly, exposing smooth, flawless skin. "What if you're wrong?"

Ezekiel couldn't stop his eyes from traveling up her milky thighs, following her fingers as it went under her dress. She was purposely doing this to make him eat his words and he couldn't resist it. All he could think about was replacing her hands with his lips, tasting her with his tongue once again.

He gulped down the rest of his wine, feeling hot. This was the problem between them, the chemistry and lust he felt for her was not one he could deny or even resist.

Still, he adjusted his tie, forcefully peeling his eyes away from her legs. "Miss Diana, please act properly" He told her.

"What? Are you affected?" She chuckled "You didn't get over me Mr Ezekiel Miles. You don't have to pretend between us"

"You seem so confident"

"Of course. With my looks, and skills" she licked her lips, eyeing him "I don't think anyone can easily get over me"

"It's been five years. Don't delude yourself" Ezekiel said then he slid her a file.

Diana picked up the file and saw it was filled with her information. Every tiny bit of information about her and the details of her business that shouldn't be known were included in it. Her expression changed and she threw him a sharp glare.

"You see, I can easily destroy you if I want to. I'm sure you don't want that" He said and calmly waited for her outburst but that didn't happen.

She dropped the paper and asked calmly, "What do you want?"

"You know exactly what I want"

Diana nodded in understanding as he passed her a paper. She signed her name on it after reading through. They were the marriage contract.

"Is that all?" she looked at him.

Once again, Ezekiel was surprised. Wasn't she suppose to protest at least? She clearly hated him but then she agreed to marry him so easily.

He couldn't help but think that she was planning something.

Diana smirked looking at his cautious expression. Of course she was planning something. Something disastrous for him. Didn't he like doing that to others? Then she should just give him a taste. A taste of what it feels like to completely lose everything you have, to watch everything you have fall and crumble. She would make him feel everything she felt that year, make him pay for all the pain he caused her, the heartaches, all the sleepless nights she spent thinking about him. He would pay for even thinking he could mess with the company she fought and worked hard to build up to its present state.

Ezekiel Miles had to pay!
