Gang Killers.

After dinner, Ezekiel wanted to act like a gentleman so he offered to take her home but of course Diana declined. She came in her own car so there was really no need. They parted ways after promising to meet at the marriage bureau and register their marriage the next day.

It was dark as Diana got into her car and drove off. She started to slow down when she saw how her path had become empty as the seconds passed. It wasn't like this when she passed by earlier.

Where was everyone?

She couldn't help feeling an ominous feeling creeping up on her.

It was too unsettling to ignore so she stopped her car in the middle of the road. She started a reverse and just like she half suspected, black dressed men started to nimbly jump out of the shadows one by one to block her way.

One of them stood in front of her car to stop her from leaving but she didn't care, she stepped on the accelerator, ready to run him over if he dared to remain there but he suddenly raised a gun aimed straight at her head.

The way he held it, Diana could tell he wouldn't miss. He was a professional.

Who were these people?

Maybe thieves? No, they didn't look anything like thieves.

They were much more organized and there was something about the air they put on that was strange. About ten of them.

Diana didn't dare go out. She locked her doors and sat there, mind racing as she tried to think of what to do.

She had many enemies in this country but she didn't know of one who would attack her so openly as soon as she arrived in the country.

One of them knocked on her shield, signing for her to get down and she hesitated a bit, exhaling before unlocking the doors and stepping out. She had to play this cool.

"What is this? I don't think I have offended any of you have I?"

They just looked at her quietly. One of them took the car keys from her as they dragged her out.

Diana didn't try to fight back. She just let them. They seemed so strong. Like they could lift her up with a finger.

These people were not her match.

She was just thinking when she noticed the tattoo drawn on the wrist of one of the men. It was a drawing of a dragon's head chained inside a flaming ring. Her eyes filled with recognition and she almost gasped but she kept it down thankfully, not allowing the fear to completely seize her.

These people belonged to one of the most notorious gangs. S-rank first class killers from the dragon's ring.

Whoever they've set their eyes on, they take. They make no mistakes.

They were feared and all she had heard about them were stories and rumors.

She even once wanted to recruit a member and she received a warning that very night that made her shiver and promised never to do something like that again.

Why were they suddenly here for her now? To kill her?

The only person who'd have the means to hire these people was Ezekiel but it wasn't him. There's no way it could be him.

"Where's your boss?" Diana licked her lips, staring at each of them but of course they didn't reply. They didn't try to hurt her too. They just stood there, putting her in a circle, holding her captive and waiting for someone.

"You cannot keep me here like this. Even if your boss has business with me, he should've just talked it out like normal humans. What is this?" She sighed, pretending to throw a tantrum to see if she could keep them distracted for a while but instead, they only became more alert.

Crap! Whoever their boss was, whoever could control these killers was someone she should fear with her soul, body and mind.

Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration.

"I see someone is getting impatient"

She heard a deep melodious voice and whipped her head to the side to be met with a handsome face. The man was young, he had dark hair that fell over his face.

A simple casual dark pants and white shirt on. He didn't look like he was younger than her but the way he bounced his way over like a mischievous high school kid made him look... cute?

Again, she knew that could be meant to deceive her to keep her guard down.

"You're the leader?" Diana asked, a bit surprised. Why did he seem somewhat familiar?

"Why are you surprised? I don't look like one?" The man came closer to her, checking her out from head to toe. He couldn't see any fear in her eyes like the other ladies would, they'd be crying already. Instead, she also sized him up. Her bright, sharp gaze piercing into him.

"Hmmm... Not bad, you're as beautiful as I expected" He licked his lips and chuckled.

Diana glared at him "You know me right? But I don't. What do you want?" She asked.

The man brought up his hands to touch her face but Diana avoided it, stepping away from him. His face turned cold and hard instantly.

He suddenly used his big hands to pinch her cheeks together, contorting it to his desired state, his fingers digged into her skin, drawing blood but he froze when he felt a sharp steel object pressing on his stomach.

He looked at her, astonished, then his eyes trailed down to the knife on his stomach. He gulped.

With the way it was positioned, one wrong move from him and this knife would go straight in.

"What do you want from me?" Diana repeated, "Were you paid to kill me or what? I can pay double it if that's the case"

"Are you sure you're not just bluffing, Diana?" He chuckled and she stilled.

They both knew she didn't have the means to pay that. Not even if she sells the whole of her company.

He even knew her name. He must have done some research.

"Mr, I don't think we've met before, no?"

"The name is Spider" The man said and nodded, a playful smirk on his face "You don't remember me anymore?"

Diana frowned and squinted at him. She couldn't recall anyone with that name. It was just for a second she got distracted and the next moment, she felt her hands being flunged away from him forcefully, making the knife in her hand fly a few feet away and so quickly, with a speed she didn't think was possible, he brought his hands down on her, aiming to strike her on the head but Diana side stepped to the left instinctively.

She threw a punch to his face but he just caught her hands in his palms before it could reach him. That was a calculated move from her. Diana smiled smugly.

He fell for it.

"You should do a background check on someone before attacking them, don't you think?"

Spider's smile stiffened as he started to feel an itch on his hands which quickly started to spread all over him.

 Damn it!

He glared at her "You poisoned me?"

"What do you think?" She smirked and moved closer to him.

"Don't worry, it won't kill you" She assured and patted his shoulder.

Spider's eyes changed, quickly evading her hands. Who knows what other poison she had on them?

He was here to kill her, yeah, that was right. He thought he could at least have some fun with her before finishing her off but he never imagined something like this.

He squinted his eyes, this woman... She wasn't thesame woman he knew that year. Perhaps he got the wrong person?

That was quite impossible. He remembered her face and this striking white hair of hers that not many people have.

Spider gritted his teeth, ignoring the urge to scratch his skin as he knew it would only make it worse.

He watched as she got into her car. Those men in black wouldn't act except he gives an order which he didn't bother to as his eyes continued following her every movement until she got to her car.

He suddenly found himself intrigued.

"The cure" he shouted making her pause and turn her head to look at him.

"Don't worry, just don't move too much" she said "It will go away in an hour"

Diana snatched her keys from the person who took them. Entered her car and left.

She still had some questions she wanted to ask.

Like who hired them?

She wanted to know how she had acquired an enemy this scary.

But Diana left it as things could escalate just after it had calmed down.

It was better to use the slight chance she got to escape from them.
