TWENTY FOUR– ROMANCE AND REVELATIONS

I open my mouth to protest but Mason slams his lips against mine, effectively putting an end to whatever I was about to say.

At this point, warm and snuggled up against him, I couldn’t care less. I sink my fingers into his hair, giving him full permission to devour me whole.

When we finally break for air, his lips trace my cheeks and he whispers gruffly.

“This is how I want you, princess. This is how I’ll always want you. Soft and willing…and mine.”

His lips on my skin are so electrifying, I’m grateful for the fact that he’s holding me up, otherwise my shaky knees would’ve given way a long time ago.

“Can we put on the lights now?” I ask softly. “I want to see you.”

“Of course, baby. Just a sec.”

Mason drops a quick kiss on my forehead before groping around in the dark to get to the light switch.

Seconds later, bright white lights flood the room and I blink rapidly until Mason finds the controls that adjusts the brightness.
