Victor took off his suit and put it on the chair. He was still able to smile and pretend as if nothing had happened between him and Carly's father. Victor picked up his wine glass and took a slow sip.

Carly turned her head and touched the surface of Victor's hand. "Honey, are you okay? You just keep drinking," Carly whispered.

"Ummh, I need to use the restroom now," Victor said, putting his cell phone in his coat pocket.

"Take care; come back soon."

Victor nodded and walked away, leaving Carly at the dining table with her parents.

Jena stared at the departure of her daughter's future husband. Then she looked back at her husband, Leo, who placed his spoon and fork down firmly.

"Stop playing Carly." Leo looked at his daughter.
