MIA'S POV:

I feel so guilty right now. I should have identified the face of the person who pulled me into a corner before taking action.

Now look at what my carelessness had led to. I sighed inwardly as I concentrated on treating on treating his wound.

I felt his gaze on me but I pretended not to notice anything. His gaze became so intense that I felt my cheeks heating up.

Damn, why I'm I feeling like this just because of an ordinary gaze. I tried to control myself from rushing out of the room in embarrassment.

I wanted to speak up before he bole a hole in my body with his eyes, but he beat me to it. His next words nearly took me off balance.

"Move into my house," he said, still staring at me.

"What?" I quickly asked as I looked up at him.

"I said that you should move into my house" he replied.

"Why should I do that" I asked still not sure of his notice of saying that.

"This house is no longer safe for you. Riley already figured out where you live, and she's after you," he explained.
