Chapter 20: Exclusive Scars

I feel like I might be really drunk, which is why I'm asking such a strange question. But I thought Antoninus would hesitate at least for a moment.

 However, he stares at the flames and slowly opens his mouth, "Perhaps."

 He's such a jerk! I'm a little angry and want to stand up, but he holds my hand and explains, "I just think that you would be better off with him than with me."

 "Fine! Then I'll go find him right now!" I angrily try to get up, but my dizzy brain loses its sense of balance, and I fall back down twice after attempting to climb up.

Alcohol really isn't a good thing. I angrily toss the cup aside.

Antoninus actually laughs again.

He reaches out his arm to support me, but I push him away irritably, and my eyes involuntarily turn red.

So Antoninus's smiling face, which took so much effort to appear, disappears again. He purses his lips, and his eyes flicker with golden flames, "I'm sorry."
