Three months of his life were playing through someone else's speakers, and the world was calling it a masterpiece.

Liam stared at the screen and laughed. Short and hollow, nothing funny about it. Jason Blake. Number one trending. Over two million streams and climbing.

He scrolled through the comments, and each one stung more than the last. People were calling it genius, saying the drop hit different, that the layered distortion was proof Jason Blake was a rare talent who understood music in ways most producers never would.

He knew that drop. He had built every single layer of it himself, and it had cost him real time and real sleep and pieces of himself he couldn't name. Now a stranger was being handed a crown for it.

He had done everything right. Kept his head down, worked harder than anyone else in the room, stayed quiet when people talked over him, accepted half the credit just to keep his seat at the table. He had played by every rule, and this was where it landed him.

Someone like Jason Blake—loud and connected and untouchable—would take what he wanted and walk away clean. And Liam would sit here watching the numbers climb because he was nobody. That thought hurt more than anything else on the screen.

He grabbed his phone and dialed.

"Pick up. Pick up."

"Liam?" Zara's voice came through breathless. "What's going on?"

"Have you seen the news?" He didn't bother with a greeting. There was nothing normal enough about this moment to pretend otherwise. "The track I registered last week. It's out right now, Zara, and it's sitting under Jason Blake's name like I never touched it."

She asked him to send the link. He did, then sat staring at the ceiling while the numbers kept climbing. When she finally spoke, her voice had dropped, and somehow that was worse than if she had shouted.

"Liam, that's yours. Every single part of that is yours."

He already knew that. Hearing it out loud didn't fix anything; it just made the weight of it harder to sit with. "I know it's mine. What I want to know is what I'm supposed to do about it."

"You go there," Zara said, and he could hear her patience running out. "You walk in and you take your things back. Some fool doesn't come out of nowhere and steal what belongs to you without facing anything for it. Go make him understand what it means to do that to you."

When Liam ended the call, he grabbed his jacket and walked out.

The building was glass and steel and city light, the kind of place designed to make you feel small before you even got to the door. Liam walked through it anyway. The lobby had marble floors and high ceilings and a silence that pressed down on everything. He crossed it without slowing down.

The receptionist looked up at him with no real interest. He asked for Jason Blake, and her expression didn't move at all. He told her he had worked on the track just released under Blake's name and that he needed five minutes.

She glanced at him once, then back at her screen like he hadn't said anything worth stopping for. "Mr. Blake doesn't take unscheduled visits."

Liam raked his fingers through his hair and tried again. "You don't get it. I need to see him. Right now."

She adjusted her glasses and looked at him straight on. "If you don't leave, I will call security."

Liam leaned over the desk, his voice rising. "I need to see Jason Blake right now! Do you hear me? Right now!"

She didn't flinch. Didn't reach for the phone. She just looked at him with a small, polished smile, as if he had just said the funniest thing in the world. Like a stray dog had wandered in and barked at the furniture.

Liam stared down at his clothes—worn hoodie, scuffed sneakers, jeans with frayed cuffs—frustration twisting his face. He should have put on something nicer when he came. No wonder this woman looked at him like he had just walked in from nowhere.

He opened his mouth to try again when he felt two arms grab him. Before he knew it, he found himself thrown outside the building.

A few minutes later, he was sitting in a bar, hoping to wake up from this drink soon. Even after more than one drink, he didn't seem to be getting drunk at all.

He was about to order another when he felt the air shift.

It started with a scent: warm, deep, and commanding.

His fingers tightened slightly around the glass as something unfamiliar curled low in his stomach.

He was an omega. He had known that his whole life. But he had never felt it like this. A warmth and pressure settled in before his mind could explain it. Something stirred low in his chest—instinctive and unfamiliar. His body reacted before his mind caught up. His fingers tightened around his glass, and his pulse moved differently, without him deciding it should.

He turned his head slowly.

The man was standing near the bar, tall and broad-shouldered, dressed with the kind of confidence that comes from never needing to try. His face was controlled, as if something under the surface was tight, waiting to break free. He wasn't looking at Liam.

Then, as if he could feel it too, the man raised his gaze, searching for the scent, and his eyes met Liam's.

  • Pregnant by the Alpha who Left   What Marcus Came to Say

Ethan showed Liam the letter that same evening, before dinner, before he’d even taken his coat off.He didn’t soften it. He didn’t wait for a better moment or decide on his own how much Liam could carry. He put the paper on the kitchen table and said, “This came today. I don’t know what it means. I wanted you to read it before I formed an opinion.”Liam read it twice. Behind him, Noah banged a pot lid against the floor with the focus of a man conducting an orchestra.“He wants to see me,” Liam said slowly.“He’s asking. You don’t have to say yes.”“I know.” Liam set the letter down and looked at him, something like surprise crossing his face. “You’re not going to tell me not to go.”“No.” Ethan’s voice was steady. “I want to. Every part of me wants to say Marcus Chen gets nothing from you, ever again. But it’s your decision, and if you want me there, I’ll be there. If you don’t, I’ll be wherever you tell me to be.”Liam was quiet for a long moment. A year ago, he would have taken that

  • Pregnant by the Alpha who Left   What Adam Asked

Adam Foster had never been nervous before a job in his life. He’d stood outside rooms where men with real grudges were waiting. He’d walked clients through crowds that could turn ugly in seconds. His pulse had stayed level through all of it.Now he was standing in Liam’s kitchen on a Thursday afternoon with a small velvet box in his jacket pocket, and his hands wouldn’t stay still.“You’re going to wear a hole in that floor,” Liam said, watching him pace between the counter and the window.“I’m fine.”“You said that three times in the last ten minutes.”“Because I’m fine.” Adam stopped pacing. “Okay. I’m not fine. What if she says no?”Ethan, leaning against the counter with Noah on his hip, raised an eyebrow. “She’s been living in your apartment for eight months. She cleared a drawer for her hair ties.”“That’s different from marriage.”“It’s very slightly different,” Liam admitted. “But Adam, she’s in love with you. Zara hides a lot of things. That is not one of them.”Adam exhaled

  • Pregnant by the Alpha who Left   What Choosing Looks Like

The offer came from Ethan on an ordinary Tuesday, delivered with none of the ceremony Liam might have expected a year earlier."I'm not asking you to move back in," Ethan said carefully, clearing the dinner plates while Noah smeared mashed carrots across his high chair tray with enthusiastic disregard for the mess. "I want to be clear about that first. I know we're still building this at your pace.""Okay," Liam said, wary but listening."I want to buy a house," Ethan continued. "Not the penthouse. Not anything connected to the company or my father's name on the deed. Something ordinary. A place that could, eventually, if you ever wanted it, be somewhere we build a life instead of just visiting each other's apartments on Tuesdays." He paused. "I'm not attaching any expectation to it. I just wanted you to know it's something I'm doing, whether or not it ever becomes that. I'd rather have the option ready than wait until you're ready and then scramble to catch up."Liam considered that

  • Pregnant by the Alpha who Left   Dinners, Slowly

They started with Tuesdays. It was Liam's idea, something small and specific, easier to hold onto than a vague promise to "try." Tuesday dinners, at Liam's new place, the modest apartment he'd taken near Zara's after deciding the house three hours out had done what it needed to do and it was time to be closer again, on his own terms.Ethan came the first Tuesday with flowers, then felt foolish about it, then brought them anyway the second Tuesday because Liam had mentioned, offhand, that nobody had really brought him flowers before this whole story started and it turned out he liked them more than he expected to admit."You don't have to keep doing that," Liam said, the third week, though he was already reaching for a vase."I know," Ethan said, echoing a joke that had become theirs somewhere along the way. "I like doing it."Noah, now steady enough on his feet to be a genuine hazard around anything breakable, narrated the entire dinner in his own expanding vocabulary, mostly nonsense

  • Pregnant by the Alpha who Left   What He Came Back To Hear

They met at the studio, neutral ground, Liam's choice, a space that belonged to neither of their pasts but to the work he'd built entirely on his own.Ethan arrived early and waited outside rather than let himself in, standing on the sidewalk in the late afternoon light like a man who understood, finally and completely, that nothing about this moment was his to control. When Liam's car pulled up, Noah strapped into the back seat, something in Ethan's chest cracked open at the sight of them, five months compressed into the sudden, overwhelming reality of a son who'd grown, who now had actual words instead of babbling, who looked at Ethan through the car window with a moment of uncertain recognition before breaking into a wide, delighted grin."Dada!"Ethan's eyes burned. He hadn't expected that word yet. He hadn't expected any of this to land quite this hard."Hi," Liam said, getting out of the car, something careful and searching in his expression. "Hi, you.""Hi," Ethan managed, voic

  • Pregnant by the Alpha who Left   Somewhere Liam Was

The house Zara found for him belonged to her aunt, three hours outside the city, small and unremarkable in exactly the way Liam needed it to be, no marble, no orchestrated perfection, nothing that reminded him of rooms where decisions got made without him in them.He hadn't told Ethan where. He'd asked Zara not to either, and true to her word, she hadn't, though she visited most weekends, Adam sometimes trailing quietly behind her with groceries and an easy patience that had become, over the months, its own kind of comfort."You don't have to keep doing this," Liam told her, the third weekend in a row she showed up with an overstuffed bag of things he hadn't asked for."I know," Zara said, exactly the way Adam always answered the same complaint. "I like doing it."Liam laughed despite himself, something in his chest that had been clenched tight for weeks finally, slightly, loosening.Noah took his first real steps in that house, in a kitchen with a chipped tile floor, seven unsteady s
