Chapter 1 – First date gone wrong

“Ouch!” Kisha yelled in pain.

“What’s the problem?” Brian was disturbed and asked, before catching sight of the red liquid, getting upset as he tried to grab her finger to direct it towards the faucet of the kitchen sink but Kisha pulled her hand away in anger. Brian was a little agitated and asked, “You can’t even handle a knife at your age as a woman? I made it clear that I liked home-cooked meals.”

Never had he thought that cooking was going to be so difficult. Since his favorite was lasagna, he insisted that Abigail teach him how to make that. He succeeded in boiling the water for the lasagna noodle and was about to move to the next step when Kisha cut her finger while slicing the onion and garlic for the beef and sausage.

“Is that all you can say?” Kisha asked, upset. She wanted a little bit of appreciation for picking the ingredients successfully from the grocery store. Something she never did before and just because of a little accident, Brian was judging her.
