Chapter 12 – Building trust

“I want her fired. I don’t care about the nasty things she said to me but for her to call Aunt Abigail a housewife, enjoying Uncle Tony’s hard-earned money as a stay-at-home wife, I can’t bring myself to forgive or see her working in this company ever again,” Kisha explained painfully.

Abigail was one of the women she respected so much even when she didn’t know that she would one day be getting married to her son. Seeing the seriousness and anger in her tone, Brian was upset that Linda had the guts to speak to Kisha like that but also, she involved his mother. From the chilliness emitted by the president when he was addressing Linda, even the managers were on edge in their seats.

“You said that about my mother?” Brian asked in a low growl, staring daggers at the battered face that had turned extremely ugly. “And what did you call my wife?” His voice tone was becoming dangerous, as he tried to suppress his fury.

“I…. I…. Mr.….” Linda was finding it hard to form a sentence from Brian
