Chapter Six: A new beginning

Baron's POV:

The following morning, as soon as I woke up, the only memory I had in my thought was Laura. Out of instinct, I swiftly zoomed downstairs to check on her in the main lounge. She had slept there for the night, right after our short conversation.

"Laura" I said as I spotted her standing up from the chair she slept on. It looked like she had just woken up from sleep. "Oh Baron. Good morning sir" replied Laura as she locked gaze with me. "Sir? Did you just call me sir?" I said, as I felt astonished and pulled closer to her. "Uhhhm, I don't really..." "You don't have to answer to anybody anymore. You are not a slave. You are a free woman. Welcome to the Free world Laura" I said as I placed one hand on her shoulder. I could then see her exhale deeply as she made a deep sigh.
