Chapter 91

Atasha's POV

Conrad embraced me tightly. I could sense that something was troubling him, but I didn't want to pressure him into opening up to me. Perhaps he needed time to figure things out on his own, so I would give him that time and patiently wait for him to share his burdens with me.

I rested my head on his chest and let myself drift off to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of the twins knocking on our door. When I looked beside me, Conrad had just woken up as well. He rubbed his eyes and walked towards the door. As he opened it, the twins came running towards the bed.

"Good morning, Mommy," they greeted, showering me with kisses.

"What about Daddy?" Conrad asked, his jealousy evident in how the children greeted me.

I laughed when I saw him pouting his lips while looking at the twins.

The twins laughed at his expression and then stood up to give their father a tight hug.

"Good morning, Daddy," they greeted in unison, kissing their father on the cheeks.
