I check my wristwatch restlessly for the sixth time and ruffle my hair impatiently. I have been waiting for her for the past hour, and she's not yet here.

"Hey, dude," The door suddenly opens, and Max walks in with his two hands in his pockets.

"I didn't remember asking you to come in. Why didn't you knock?" I throw him a glare, but he only shrugs as he pulls out the chair and sits on it, crossing his legs afterward.

"I saved you the stress of throwing me out by not knocking. So, what's up?" He asks, and I roll my eyes at him.

"Why are you here?" I ask him.

"Why else? Of course, I'm here to ask what has come over you, Kai. This is not you," He replies to me, while I stare at him confusingly, wondering what he's talking about.

"What are you saying?" I ask, clueless about what he's saying.
