Chapter 9

Izariah-

I woke up with a splitting headache, but that didn’t stop me from getting up and ready for my first class. Grabbing the coat that I got from Jace, I stuffed it inside a bag and headed out the door. Since I didn’t have an afternoon class, I would have a little bit of time to take his coat to get it cleaned.

I had stayed up most of the night trying to get the red paint off it but failed. I was still annoyed about what happened yesterday, yet I woke up in a good mood, despite feeling like crap. While I had been trying to clean the coat, I found myself thinking that Jace wasn’t a bad guy, perhaps someone I could even be friends with.

I only had to remind myself a hundred times that he was friends with the one person I hated the most. The more I thought about it, the more I became annoyed with Braxton. Who did he think he was?

Not wanting to think about Braxton, I cleared my head and focused on getting to class. As I walked down the sidewalk that would lead me to class, I noticed
