As the moon goddess considered Kyle's plea, a sense of peace washed over him mingled with a newfound determination. He knew that whatever lay ahead, he would face it with courage and humility, for the love he held for his people and the gratitude he owed to the moon goddess who had watched over him all his life. Despite her anger towards them, she never took their lives all at once like she always does to her enemies. It is a known fact that any pack that betrays her gets burned to the ground with no survivors. That is how she expresses her anger, and we actually thought she would wipe them out in that same way. But she didn’t.

She keeps watch over them, protecting and providing for us the same way she did for the other wolves. She is not just a goddess, she is our mother, our only hope to survive. How do I ever repay her, how do I let her know that I love her even if she doesn’t let me have help from my father or Kyle.
