Alexis slowly opened her eyes. Her eyes immediately fixed on the ceiling. She was still in Adrian's room. Immediately, Alexis got up and sat on the bed, looking around her. There was no Adrian in the room right now. “I have to get out of here. No matter how. I have to do it right now.” murmured Alexis determinedly there.

Alexis stood up and took her bag which was back on the table. She also noticed that it was starting to get early in the morning at this time. A new day. And of course, she was also thinking about her job at the Grill and Mac Restaurant that afternoon. Alexis took a deep breath. Then with the slow steps of her two feet, she tried to see the outside of Adrian's house from inside the room. She was upstairs, though Alexis wasn't at all sure which floor of the house she was on at the moment. And it was already early morning, and the atmosphere of the forest which was still dark and scary was immediately felt by Alexis at this time. Adrian's house is in the forest. Which even Alexis never knew how deep the house was in the forest. Alexis tightened her grip on her bag.

"This is not a problem, Alexis. Entering the forest would be less dangerous than staying in the same house as a vampire who thirsts for your blood.” Alexis was trying to be braver.

Then quickly, Alexis turned around and walked towards the door of the room. Fortunately, the bedroom door was unlocked, so Alexis could open it and started to peek a little through the gap in the door of the room she had opened there. Alexis head turned left and right to make sure that the situation outside the room was safe. What he meant was that Adrian wasn't there. After believing that, Alexis came out of the room and closed the door again. Walking slowly down the stairs, with a feeling of misgivings. Alexis didn't like that feeling, because she was starting to realize that if she felt that kind of worry, it could make her body feel hot. And also made Alexis uncomfortable with it.

While descending the stairs, Alexis realized how spacious, big, and beautiful Adrian's house was there. The number of ornaments and old objects that almost fill every part of the house. Especially with the vintage pastel house paint, which can add a spooky impression, but also warm at the same time. Alexis is feeling deja vu. She felt as if she had been in this position before, in the same situation and atmosphere. But Alexis couldn't remember it very clearly at all.

Shortly after descending the stairs, Alexis found the exit door. And somehow Alexis felt that Adrian's house was not an ordinary house. But a castle. Evidenced by the giant door that welcomed her in there, and considering how large the house was. But Alexis didn't try to admire or even think about Adrian's house there anymore. Immediately, Alexis slowly opened the door and in the end heaved a sigh of relief. She managed to get out of the house. Now all that she needs to do is walk through the forest that is now in front of her right now, and hope that if she can get a signal on her cellphone there will be.

Alexis sped up the pace of her two feet there. Dare herself to start entering the forest area. Her two feet stepped slowly, and with full alertness. Holding her bag tightly with her left hand right near her chest. And her right hand is holding on her cell phone and turning on the flashlight on it. “I'm not sure if this is the right way. I did not see any road that could lead me directly to the main road from the direction of Adrian's house. Or maybe I just don't know which way is around the house." Alexis muttered with a small frown on her forehead.

Alexis stopped her footsteps when she heard the sound of rapid movement from behind her current body. Her breath was pounding along with her heartbeat which seemed to be getting faster there. Alexis tried to ignore it, and quickened her footsteps there. Until several times Alexis stumbled by rocks, trunks, and tree roots there. A feeling of panic overtook her, as her instincts told her that something was watching and was also approaching her in rapid motion right now. And that's what instantly made Alexis start running.

"Awh..." Alexis winced in pain as she fell from tripping over a broken tree trunk there. Alexis felt a stinging pain in the knee and in the palm of her left hand. When Alexis raised her left palm there, there was already a scratch wound that resulted in bleeding.

“Shit…” Alexis mumbled as she tightly gripped the palm of her hand. Trying to hide her bleeding wound right now. With considerable difficulty, Alexis tried to get up from the fall. Though once again he had to endure the pain of the wound she felt on her right knee.

Alexis sighed when she finally managed to stand up. But an instant dizziness hit Alexis. Remembering that she hadn't eaten anything since coming home from her shift at the Grill and Mac restaurant last night. Especially with the blood of Alexis who was drunk by the vampire, and how she was in the grip of the vampire who almost killed her for the several times. Alexis held herself against the tree that was right beside her. Subconsciously put her bloody left palm there. And immediately regretted it. Because Alexis heard the rapid movement around her again.

"I can smell your blood, Alexis."

Adrian's voice echoed in the forest. Alexis with the last of her strength, went back to running and didn't care about the pain that still felt in her body. Alexis felt like crying at every step she took at this moment. Her whole body was already wet with sweat, making Alexis unable to run anymore. Alexis felt her breath getting heavier, until she started to slow down a bit there. Alexis turned her head back a few times, hoping that at least she could escape the arrival of Adrian, who had been chasing her for a long time.

Alexis stared in front of her in panic. She widened her eyes in there. "Adrian?" She whispered.

“I already said that you can never escape from me, Alexis.” Adrian muttered in a tone of voice that sounded annoyed there. His eyes have now turned as dark blue.

Alexis' body trembled, and without her knowing it, tears started streaming down her face profusely. Alexis started crying and sobbing there. "Then what should i do? I had no choice but to save myself. I don't want to die with the blood drained by you. I'm scared to death because I've never been in this situation. And you are a vampire. A fucking vampire. A mythological creature that should never have been existed in this world. I shouldn't have seen you that night... I probably wouldn't be in this position. Running away from the approaching death of a vampire.” Alexis sobbed more and more at every sentence she said there.

It jolted Adrian's feelings. There is shock, disappointment, and pain. He had never felt this way before. Even though he had lived that life as a vampire for centuries, even though he had preyed on humans a lot, he had never once felt those feelings for humans. For a moment Adrian remained silent and tried to begin to understand his feelings. But a second later, the color of his two eyes turned metallic. He began to feel thirsty and hungry without any control. Adrian realized that he couldn't control himself when he was around Alexis. What's more, the smell of Alexis' blood that was emitting from within the wounds that Alexis had on her body was like right now.

Quickly, Adrian grabbed Alexis' bloody left wrist and brought Alexis' palm closer to her face. Alexis panicked and tried to free her palm from Adrian's grip. Alexis also noticed how Adrian's eyes were staring right at the bloody palms of his hands there with a hungry look. Alexis is getting scared. Adrian brought Alexis's palm to his lips, and started sucking Alexis' blood through the wound there. “Le-let me go, Adrian!! Let go of my hand!!!” Alexis shouted loudly. But her voice seemed not to be heard by Adrian who was getting harder and harder to suck the blood from the wound there. Alexis braced herself and pushed Adrian's body away and Adrian's grip on her hand slipped. She took the opportunity to run away.

Alexis instincts felt sharper with every footstep that led her to keep running there. Alexis focused herself and heard the sound of the river flowing within the forest area. Alexis didn't understand what was happening to her at all. Once again Alexis was just trying to follow that instinct that came out of nowhere. But when Alexis was near the river that flows very fast there, Alexis began to understand. That might just be one way that could take him away and away from Adrian. At least for now on.

“Alexis, don't do that!!”

Alexis could hear Adrian's voice getting closer to her. Alexis slightly turned her head back, and could see Adrian's very fast movement. Then Alexis looked back at the river that was getting faster in front of her. There is no other choice at this time. Alexis closed her eyes tightly. And that's when with a certain feeling, Alexis jumped and threw herself into the river that was flowing very fast there.

“Alexis!!!”

Alexis heard Adrian faintly calling her name. Slowly, Alexis opened her eyes. She held her breath underwater, and tried to stay afloat as long as possible. Alexis couldn't bring herself out of the river. Otherwise, Adrian would be able to find her once again. But, Alexis started coughing and water started to get into her nose and mouth. Making Alexis lose the way to breathe. In the remnants of her consciousness, Alexis opened and closed her eyelids several times. With her outstretched right hand. She saw the light before her. A faint light that she saw was the shadow of a woman wearing a Victorian era dress while holding a small sword in her right hand. But then the shadow and light disappeared along with Alexis who started to lose consciousness at this time. The only remnants she felt after that were her body that felt like hitting the rocks in the river, and the flow that continued to carry Alexis's body away.
