Mag-log inChapter 5
"Isn't your concubine leaving too?" Elara asked. "Do as you're told, Luna. Don't question me in front of my peers." Like a bolt of lightening, her dreams barrelled into her. She turned towards Morgana who was looking disappointed and angry, then to Lucan who's eyes had already moved back to Sera, and Sera who looked comfortable, enjoying the attention of the alpha. Three of them. Something was going on. There was a reason they were in her dreams. Alpha Riven finished his statement with an annoying smirk, leveling Elara with a long stare, taunting her. Daring her to take the bait. Morgana's hand came to rest on Elara's shoulder as she says "You cannot entice our Luna with your pretty words, Alpha Riven" "Wha... What did you mean when you said they had been lying?" Elara's shrill voice asked, her own gaze locked on Alpha Riven's. She felt Morgana's fingernails dig into her shoulders, expressing her disapproval at her question. "I cannot tell you exactly what you want to hear, Elara dear. You must find it on your own. There is a reason you've not been let out of this pack grounds in over five years, Luna. Weren't you ever curious why? Or do you just roll over and bark like a mutt when they command you to." Elara turned to look at Morgana as if to ask if it was true. "Enough!! I have had enough! You will leave my pack grounds and borders in peace, before I will have you forcefully removed" Alpha Lucan said. Even Elara knew it would be impossible to have him forcefully removed. The werewolf before her was not ordinary. Pure power rippled under his skin. He could level the entire pack grounds if he so thought it. That much was obvious. "I can only take your hand, and point you in the right direction." Alpha Riven continued like they had not just threatened him. Lucan then turned to her, the same brimming fury showing on his face. "Alright Luna. Thats enough excitement for today... You should retire to your quarters immediately. Weightier matters are about to be discussed." Elara stood from her seat without even thinking about the action. She had been beaten and punished enough to know not to disobey her Alpha and mate. But then she noticed Sera still sat comfortably. Elara made her feet to walk, One step in front of the other. She stepped down from the raised stage, and walked straight towards Alpha Riven. "Where are we to go?" she asked him softly She needed to find out why, and she could not find those answers in the bottom of a flower vace she would have been arranging or in the many tasteless dresses she would be wearing. "When and where are we going?" she asked again. "If you leave this pack grounds," Alpha Lucan bellowed, his eyes rimming red with rage. "if you step a foot outside of this pack, you will have no pack to return to when you eventually come back. I will cease to be your mate, husband and alpha. I will reject you" Lucan finished. "Elara, remember your duties. Remember who you are. If you turn against us now, everything you have done, all the lessons you learned from me will be for nothing. Do not make a bad choice and ruin everything" Morgana said from beside Lucan. From her point on the floor, she could see them clearly now... Funny how three of them were left on the stage. "If you leave, Wren will take your place as Luna." Alpha Lucan said with finality. "I have been a warrior since I could walk. My father trained and taught me everything he knew. Curse, prophesy or not, he loved and took care of me the best he could. He never hid me away from the public eye, he never told mje I was not good enough or that I had to work double for the people to accept me." Elara blinked back tears at the memories of her father came rushing back. " I have tasted love, I have tasted power, I have tasted family, and even as your Luna, you never offered any of them to me. You said you chose me by mistake, and you were young and stupid. Well, let me take that choice off of your hands. I, Elara Martinns, reject you, Alpha Lucan as my mate in the presence of all this witnesses and under the ever seeing eyes of the moon goddess. I am not to be afilliated with you from here on out!!! Goodbye Lucan" Elara willed her legs to move as the blinding pain enveloped her, swallowing her whole. She walked out of the banquet door and continued to walk, not really seeing her surroundings. She needed to breath. She needed air, she needed the pain to stop, she needed... Strong arms held her as her body rocked with the force of the tears and pain. Elara let out a scream as the mating bond snapped and everything went to black.Riven didn't even wait for his wolf form to fully fade before moving. The second Elara’s knees buckled, he leaped forward, shifting back into his human form just in time to catch her before she hit the cold stone floor. He pulled her tight against his chest, his arms wrapped around her as her body trembled from total exhaustion."I've got you," Riven breathed, his voice rough and laced with panic. "Elara, look at me. I've got you."Elara’s head rested heavily against his shoulder, her breathing shallow as the massive surge of magic drained every last drop of her strength.Selena rushed over, kneeling beside them with her hands hovering nervously. "The magic... it was too much all at once," she said, her own hands shaking as she checked Elara's pulse. "Her body just gave out from the drain.""Is she going to be okay?" Willow asked, coming up behind them while still supporting a weak Morgana.Riven smoothed the hair back from Elara's sweat-damp forehead, his heart pounding in his
Riven’s eyes burned with pure, unbridled fury as he clamped down harder on Zakiel's neck. Fueled by absolute rage, he thrashed his massive head, repeatedly slamming Zakiel's body against the stone walls and hurling him through the bunker's wooden tables, shattering them to splinters on impact.Zakiel was smashed into surface after surface until he managed to summon a surge of force to pry himself free.Rolling across the debris, Zakiel’s human frame snapped and twisted as he transformed into his own wolf form. With a dark, violent aura rolling off his fur, he let out a menacing, blood-curdling growl straight at Riven."Riven, give me space!" Elara yelled over the chaos. "Clear a path so I can end this once and for all!"Riven didn't hesitate. He lunged forward in his wolf form, sinking his teeth into Zakiel's scruff and dragging him into position, pinning the snarling Alpha right in front of him to hold him dead still.Elara threw both hands forward.A heavy gust of thunder and l
A sinister, desperate realization flared in Zakiel’s bloodshot eyes. Knowing he was outmatched and cornered, he didn't try to break Morgana’s hold directly. Instead, he gathered every last drop of his remaining shadow magic, shaping it into a dark, shadowy whip that lashed out toward Zara. The dark tendril wrapped tight around Zara's throat, yanking her violently across the stone floor and slamming her chest-first into Zakiel’s waiting grip.Zara gasped, her hands scrambling frantically at his forearms as horror cleared the manic fog from her mind. "Zakiel—no! Please—"Zakiel didn't hesitate. He pulled her head back, bared his elongated fangs, and drove them deep into the side of her neck.A sickening, wet tear echoed through the bunker, followed by the gruesome sound of Zakiel greedily swallowing her blood. Zara’s entire frame convulsed in violent spasms as he drained her life force, absorbing her wolf's essence and every shred of magic she possessed. Within seconds, her thrashin
Riven’s lips pulled back into a deadly, brutal smile as he looked down at the writhing man."Now that I know the truth," Riven said, his voice dropping into a dark, lethal register that sent a chill straight through the room, "now that I hear Alpha Zakiel has no real powers of his own—that he was scorned, stripped, and utterly discarded by the Moon Goddess herself..."He let out a low, terrifying chuckle, taking another heavy step forward until he was standing right at the edge of Morgana's crimson magical barrier. He didn't look at a pathetic rival Alpha anymore; he looked at prey."That means you carry no divine protection," Riven growled, the muscles in his jaw ticking as his claws began to unsheathe, gleaming beneath the bunker's dim lights. "You are not a vessel of godhood. You are just a hollow, powerless stain. Which means you are fair game to be slaughtered."Riven tilted his head, his dark eyes locking onto Zakiel’s wide, bloodshot glare with absolute, unyielding intent.
Zakiel’s sneer deepened, the shadows swirling around him darkening with pure, manipulative malice as he laid bare the past."And it didn't stop there," Zakiel said, his voice ringing with cruel satisfaction. "All those years while you were growing up, while you thought you were loved and protected? Lucan's father only ever saw you as a weapon to be harvested. Every choice he made, every secret he kept, was engineered for the moment he could turn your strength into his legacy."He took a sharp breath, leaning in closer, making sure every single word struck like a poisoned dagger straight into Elara’s chest."That is why every horrific thing in your life happened," Zakiel hissed softly. "That is why Lucan followed right in his father's bloody footsteps. You think he loved you? Lucan bound you to himself through a fake mate bond for one reason and one reason only, to shackle my power to his bloodline and claim it for himself."Elara broke into a rich, melodic laugh, the sound cutting
Elara let out a sharp, bitter laugh, the blinding white light around her flaring in hot, violent pulses."What the fuck do I have that would ever belong to you?" Elara spat, stepping right into his line of sight, her voice ringing off the stone walls like a war cry. "All you've ever done is take from me! My life, my family, my father, and now my child! You have been the one taking from me this entire fucking time! So what the fuck do you think I have that could possibly be yours?!"Zakiel didn't flinch. The chilling, twisted smile slowly crept back onto his face, his dark eyes fixated on the radiant power pulsing beneath her skin."Your powers," Zakiel said, his voice smooth and unnervingly quiet, yet dripping with absolute, insane conviction. "They were meant to be mine."Elara started to laugh...a mocking, incredulous sound, but it died instantly in her throat. Her expression hardened as she realized the chilling truth: Zakiel wasn't taunting her. He was dead serious. She slowly
"Fireheart" Elara found herself in front of the same large moon again. She immediately knew it was a dream. "Fireheart. See." This time, Elara did not speak back, she waited for the moon to shimmer like it did before, she wanted a good look at the image she had seen before. When the moon be
Chapter 3 When Elara finally got out and joined the party, she stood at the door to the great Hall, heart hammering in her chest! The party looked like it had been made for Sera. There was pink everywhere!! The linens and ribbons and towels were all various shades of pink. Not a hint of the
Chapter 2 "This....This is wrong! I am not my mother...I have been nothing but faithful to you and my oath as the luna of this pack." She tried very hard to blink back tears. She would not show him her tears, not now, not in front of the omega. "You cannot take a concubine to replace me because
Death had never felt more fucking welcome than on Elara's own birthday. The entire pack was outside, waiting to celebrate her life, but inside, her own mate was slowly killing her, burying her alive with his words that cut deeper than any sword or teeth. "... Elara… Can you hear me? This damn b
